There is an owners manual available for download at this web address http://mcdinnovations.com/downloads/MCD-AmDuo-OM-r6-1-5-download.pdf. That shows you how to adjust the shades. MCD Innovations also makes a power shade. Edited by: KenM

oh thank you thank you thank you! I was digging all through my stuff to find the info on the shades - nothing there.

Ours did that. You can adjust the shade very easily with the knob on the right.

Thanks Bruce - We tried the adjustment and had one of the delaer's technicians try as well, to no avail.They are going to order a replacement from RW.

I do like the roller shades much better than the pleated. You have to get the right technique to work them. I lived in an historic home with roller shades, so they're easy for me to operate. Lots less hassle than the pleated.

I had trouble getting ours to retract, too. Turns out I was pulling down too hard (like shades in a house). You have to very gently pull down and release, and not all the way to the bottom (not till it stops. Shade retracts very slowly. If it doesn't go up far enough, adjust by turning the "dial" at the end of the shade on top.
