We traded-in our 2011 Montana 3750FL and took delivery of
our brand new 2012 Redwood 36FB the week before Christmas. </span>This is the first unit we actually ordered
exactly how we wanted it. </span>All our
previous RV purchases </span>were bought ‘off
the lot’. </span>With the exception of a
king-size bed, slide-in-slide, washer & dryer, and disk brakes </span>we ordered just about every option (including
the Fisher & Paykel dishwasher in a drawer). </span></span>Our
pre-delivery walk-thru took almost 4 hours.
</span>There are a lot of systems to learn about and we asked a lot of
questions (prompted by the experiences of others posted on this forum). </span>With the exception of a couple incidental
items (that were corrected within minutes) our new 2012 Redwood 36FB is
seemingly flawless. </span>My standards are
pretty high. I was and still am truly impressed! </span>Although we have put less than 100 miles on
her, all indications to-date suggest that our decision to go with Redwood was a
good decision.
We went with a queen bed because the king we had in the
Montana was difficult to make and left no room for a night stand. </span>The Montana’s front living room was also
difficult to heat and cool. </span>The features
that sold us on the 36FB were the huge shower, the island kitchen, and the
enormous kitchen/living/dining area. </span>We
got heat pumps on both air conditioners.
</span>That is a first for us. </span>We are
anxious to see how they perform when we hope to get away over the New Year
Holiday.
