Unhappy OH NO! Our RW Is Nearly HERE!

Well, talk about a shock... Here we have been waiting by the phone for our VIN number so we can get our insurance and get a bunch of things done that will take at least a few days. I took Blue Dogs advice and sent an email to my sales rep at B. Young and asked him to do what he could to get us some kind of status update on our coach since the estimated delivery date we were given when we ordered it is only a week away. SURELY they can find out something?

I JUST got an email from the sales manager saying, "GOOD NEWS! Your coach left the factory two days ago!" I feel like someone just punched me in the gut.

Now, you would think I would be ecstatic (and part of me IS) but now I feel panicked. We are NOT ready for it yet, and it's sad that we have been waiting so long and could have been getting these last details out of the way. Now the coach will be waiting on US! Oh the irony... Thank GOD I got the hitch ordered!!

Thanks. Just had to vent. I am sure I will be ok soon, I am going to go and breathe into a paper bag.

Fantastick! Even if it arrived Monday, (which it could!), they will need it a couple of days. Hope you hitch gets in!

Relax and chill out. Our Insurance broker shopped around and had us covered in a half day. I worried myself crazy about the PDI and closing and they went extremely well. It is going to be ok!

TnT,

This is great news, congrats!

I can say that even though I don't yet have my TV, just having the build date of 5/8 gives me something to plan around. Getting the date was a big step in the right direction.

You've done tons of leg work, now it's time to execute the plan and enjoy the ride!

PS. Just remember to take your time and don't feel rushed. They may want this to go as quick as possible, you want it to be right. Good luck and may god bless beer........

Congrats Bakers!

Not to worry, it will take them a few days to get it ready which will give you plenty of time to get the details done.

Heck you will probably get delivery before me the way things are going

Can't wait for you to lay your eyes on your new beauty! And yes Beer & Wine is a blessing!

I want to warn you ahead of time of the Redwood phenomenon that scares most of us Redwooders at first.

Somehow these trailers attract people like bugs to a windshield on hot July night. As you back your big beautiful trailer into a camping spot.......you notice people staring like there was something wrong....you quickly stop in fear, thinking that you're about to back over someone.... then you remember....oh yea...I'm pulling a Redwood.

Also, people feel compelled to knock on your door at all hours like you're giving away water in the desert. You'll soon get used to it ......we all do.

But some of the stupid questions will drive you to drinking (never drank until I got the Redwood...well...maybe a little). The best one so far has been....."hey is that your trailer?" Keep in mind, I'm on a ladder waxing it... sweating like I just dug a ditch.

my reply.....NOPE I just saw it here and thought it needed a shine

{{{Laugh}}} thanks for sharing that Dave. I hope that I get tired of having such a beautiful coach but i dont think i will. Cant wait. I dont know how many hours they typically drive them a day, but its likely a 4 day trip with 2 down!

Believe it or not.....it depends on the wind. If it's windy, they'll stop because they get less MPG and they are paid a flat rate

Hey Dave,

If I bring you a bottle of Jack, would you wash and wax my RW at the Rally this year? That way your reply would be honest and true!!
