As soon as I saw the television location that did it for me, wrong place. I can just visualize it now a post on the DRV forum "can my F250 pull this?".

yes, didn't like the 'end' tv... the one we looked at had it across the rv like our 38gk, but with a lift system so you can hide it...

Our previous 5er had the lift system and really liked it!

Very nice! Has some nice features. I like our dishwasher better.

The DRV I looked at had an electric flush toilet, wonder if they dropped that.

The drv I looked at was their tradition line and had the electric flush toilet in it and entire painted inside. I asked if it was heated for the toilet and about had the salesman rolling on the floor. I figured if they had that option then they thought of everything to make this thing as comfy as possible. But of course after the salesman collected his thoughts he stared at it looking to see if it really did.

Painted inside? like wallboard?

The one I looked at had an electric lift that raised the quartz top off the range so you could cook That's what got the salesman to show us, as I was complaining how heavy the quarts tops were on the range of the Redwood, and he said "follow me"

I saw an Elite Suites a couple of months ago with electric folding entry steps.
It had the standard RV looking 4 Step entry steps with a motorized operation to open and close them.

I have often wondered why the high end 5th wheels don't have motorized steps.

Can't really utilize that argument on a high end unit. If you're worried about things breaking than you need a simpler RV with only a handful of components.

I was a pretty cool setup and worked good but I think it is overkill and would agree, there are enough things to keep up with on our Redwoods, this seems like one more thing that is out in the rain, dirt, road grime and such that can malfunction.

Motorized steps probably would be overkill on a trailer in some perspectives. MH have them because that is your main entry point when traveling, like the door of your truck.

Had one on our MH and it loved to come down on your foot when parked to the curb, or catch on the curb so you could rip it off as you drove away.

Don't forget, many of those MH have steps inside that we don't (had a single step inside our Montana, and always worried about stepping into it and falling out the door), so there motorized steps are only one or two steps, not four as we have.

Valid point. However it does seem like there aren't really very many options for steps for 5th wheels. Whether you're paying $30K of $250K for your 5th wheel your likely to have the same steps. And they can be difficult to open over time, although I probably just need to lube mine at this point.

because they are so tall (4 step), I'm wondering how they would activate. You couldn't use the door opening, because they would come out on top of you. I wonder if they would just have to be on a switch.

Had a couple that we used to camp with and he insisted on raising his 5er's steps to put the leashes on the little dogs they had so he could walk them... I think he did it because one of them was a fluffy white cocker and they would put booties on the dog to keep her clean.

twice, yes TWICE, he left them up and his wife was carrying something out the door and fell !!!

Somehow she survived and he is not dead

Funny how this thread titled "Outside TV Size" has so many posts about other things than the Outside TV
