Is anyone having problems with their dishwashers and are they worth the added expense? I saw a one minute video saying never to buy the Fisher Paykel drawer dishwashers. DeeJay

Mine usually will serve an adult beverage if I ask very polity. But then...we've been hooked at the hip for over 35 years so it did take some friendly training.

It was the only reason we bought the Redwood
Works fine. Every once in a while I have to reach down and set the lower spray arm back on the center - but thats only an indication of my bad driving.
We have been RVing for decades, and I have to say, this is the first camper we have had that has no clutter on the island or counters, no dishracks draining into the sink, and no dirty dishes in the sink. The dishwasher is quiet enough to run in the evening while watching TV.

We added the dishwasher optionto our 36RLand have not had any issues. We also have a portable water softner thathelpsthedishwasher do a better job. The Fisher Paykel gives my wife of 20 years more time to mix that adult beverage.

We have one in our '13 36rl. Been using it one or more times every day since the beginning of Nov '12 and no problems (knock wood). We full time and love the convenience!

We have one and it works great. Use it daily.
Only problem was when driving home the drawer opened and pulled the dishwasher forward. Wasn't properly secured and has been repaired under warranty.

We have loved our dishwasher in 36FB. It uses so little water we even run it dry camping. Does a great job with very little noise. Has its own water heater so it does use some electricity in the first part of the cycle.

I thought I was smart and used the electric drawer lock on mine whenever we traveled. I think it was the DW that pointed out that the lock released every time I unplugged Silly me.

We love ours. Us it more then we ever thought. Very quite and I believe it uses only about 3.5 gal of water in the full cycle.

We actually built the coach around our diswasher!!!!!!it works great. We also had an issue of the drawer opening when we traveled, we purchased 2 decorative hooks screwed them into the cabinets on either side of the dishwasher drawer, and use two micro fiber towels and a bungy cord to secure it during travels. Works great.

Great idea - I'll try a similar solution before we head out again.

My questions have been answered!!! I wanted the dishwasher as our counters are always in various stages of dishes needing to be washed or in the process of drying. I hate it! And when fixing a meal, yikes! dirty dishes everywhere. Husband really wanted me to get one. Now I will. Along with that adult beverage!!! Thanks for all of your help. Hope to see you on the road! Never thought about not getting the dishwasher. Only problem we had was our PDI tech washed the manual in the dishwasher on his check. So, when we got home, I had no idea how it actually worked. It is very different than our home dishwasher. Once I figured it out, it works fine. Does leave water on the bottom, but doesn't seem to be a problem. We have been in our GK almost 2 months and have only used it about 3 times. Seems like since we have been in, I have been so busy at work that we have done more eating out than in. So busy, that I haven't been on the forum much and it takes me days to catch up!!! I'm in catch up mode today!!
