Has anyone heard of Redwood dropping the MSRP on the 2014's?

Why?

Redwoods are selling like hotcakes. They're enroute to selling 2500 unitsif, they haven't already.

Unless, they fear the price of aCarriage at $150,000.00 - $160,000.00 range. If they lower the MSRP of the Redwood then they can start an MSRP of the Carriage at $125,000.00 - $130,000.00. This will make it affordable to the highend user.

Time.............will tell.

One of the reasons I jumped on the Redwood is because I thought they were giving great deals to get these on the road. I assumed that after they had been on the market for a while and got the bugs worked out, they'd start raising the prices. That would make all of our current trailers more valuable when we trade them in.

I emailed Andy a couple weeks ago about getting me a new MSRP list. Never heard back from him - which is very unusual because he would always email back within a couple hours. He's great to work with. Anyone heard from him??

I have a RW spec sheet that show $96,243 for the 38GK...date on the sheet is 11/16/12.

I heard the MSRP is going down but the options going up and some will no longer be offered on the Redwood. Like the 8000K axles. Have to buy a Carriage to get some of the upgrades. This info from our dealer per his rep.

I was finally able to see the 40KB in person a few weeks back. Fell in love with it so I went to the dealer to talk about placing an order only to find out that Redwood is taking the KB back to Carriage - where it originally came from - and I would not be able to place an order. Now I see in the post above, that the 8k axles are leaving as well... I was really hoping that Thor would not dissect the Redwood and some of the neat features/options to only place them into the Carriage line up. I guess time will tell once the new Carriage is launched before we will be able to see what is left on the Redwood.

I have a MSRP sheet dated 5/2/13 andit shows 38GK as $85,805. Comparing to past sheet I had, all options show around a 20% drop in price. Dealer said 8K axles still a option as of this past Wed. Will find out more this week as we are going to try an place a order if we can get the price right.

My wife and I were looking at ordering a painted black Carriage just before they folded.

Tom Montague whom is the CEO of Redwood andwill beinvolved as CEOof the "New" Carriage was the past CEO of Carriage.

You may not see the same things that you observed in the older ones but if Redwood is any indicator of what he can do..............wait and see what he'll bring to the"New" Carriage.

I'm anxious!

Every quote we have gotten on brand new RV's have been approximately 35% lower than MSRP, so rule of thumb, don't worry too much about the MSRP. You should never pay full price and expect a 35% price reduction on an RV sitting in a sales lot.

What is your basis? I see the contrary.

The reason I ask is it seems the prices dropped 15% MSRP on the price sheets since we ordered ours in March.
