It is in the hands of the transportation company apparently.

Looking a lot forward to it anyhow!
I don't think we have even gotten a "confirmation" yet, unless it was the single, plain page of paper with a list of our options on it and nothing else. They asked us to sign it and send it back. Was THAT our confirmation? Seemed rather unofficial. That is part of why I feel so uneasy.

Indeed, the waiting is killing me. If you get yours soon then perhaps the end is near for me. Send pics and let us know how the PDI goes.

Thanks!

Sadly, we have some health issues that need to improve for us to enjoy the coach. We may have pulled the trigger too soon. Thankfully once the PDI is done and we close on it, Lifestyle RV will hold the coach until we can enjoy it. I'm grateful for that, it might be a cure having the Redwood ready and waiting to roll.

We got that at first (from the dealer), to verify they were ordering what we wanted...
Then later they gave us another copy of it that had a vin number assigned which acknowledged the mfg had received the order and it was 'in the pipeline'...

Call the dealer and ask who your regional rep is...
I spoke to mine and he followed up a few weeks before the delivery date and it was received on that date exactly... ordered 7-19-14, delivered to dealer 8-26-14...
but ours WAS vin # 3828, so 8 or 9 months ago and I THINK, there was less of a waiting list back then...
I understand they are selling a lot more of them now...

TNTBaker, When we made the deal we were handed an invoice showing our purchase price and deposit. After it was ordered, we rec'd. a 2014 Redwood Retail Price Sheet showing all options we ordered and the MSRP of the unit. No actual communication that dealer ordered or Redwood rec'd. order. Just had to have faith that it was proceeding as it should.

Not sure if it applies to any other state or even if something can be done about it, but our Crossroads paperwork went into the CO DMV with the full MSRP, and I'm talking nearly twice what we paid for it!

I was taxed on the full MSRP and had to leave both legs and one arm to get license plates on this thing, and will get hit for the next 5 years. I'm just not sure it had to be that way, and given the chance again I might have questioned that at the closing.

Wow! I dont know what CO laws say, but here in WA its INVOICE not MSRP! God knows, MSRP's are NEVER the actual sale price! I think you should check on that! On what basis you can be taxed on money you did not spend, I cannot fathom. CHECK ON THAT!

American Tax Law says if I remember correct from when I came here that the sales tax should reflect the true value. Not just actually what was paid or what other say it should cost.

However what does better reflect the value than what you actually paid (if not bought within your family/friends). Reading the law here in WI they are even nicer and say that if you trade in a vehicle at a registered dealer, you should only pay Sales Tax on the difference since you already have paid tax on the previous vehicle. Think that is unique for WI though.

In Europe where I am from, we only pay Sales Tax once. The Government gets their 25% and ar good forever. However here in the US the Sales Tax are much lower so maybe that is why the Government wants it every time you trade ;-)

yes washington is the same on trade in value. You do not pay sales tax on the amount that they gave you for your trade in. They figure you have already paid sales tax on that purchase.

Ah its too late for me because the Dealer sent it with the title work, but want to warn others. I tried to chase it down through the Dealer, especially because the next month Redwood lowered MSRP $10K across the board, but they didn't much care at that point.

We do only pay the difference if we have a trade in CO - however we got a good private buy offer for our old one that was more attractive than the tax benefit combined with the low wholesale trade offer.

It cost $575 to renew our unit. I hate paying for tags in CO!

That's Kansas too, at least as it applies to plates on new vehicles. Really fries me that you pay taxes on MSRP. Just another way to tax the heck out of the citizens. Don't know what the law is regarding RV's but will find out soon.

South Dakota tax is also based on the amount of actual cash you paid.

So is FL... and GA.

We ordered our RW in GA but titled it in FL. The dealer first used our prior GA address and the sales tax was based on the invoice price (not MSRP), when they issued the new invoice with the FL address it also reflected the invoice price.
I actually saved money on tax, the GA county I lived in was 7%, the FL county is 6%.
