Sent an e-mail to Jim Lazzarino thanking him and his staff for providing exemplary service for my warranty repair issues on my 31SL. I thought it was important for him to know that his staff at the Service Center went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was happy with all the repairs. Wife and I shopping at Krogers this afternoon and I get a personal call from Jim Lazzarino thanking me for choosing Redwood and thanking me for the e-mail. He said that Redwood is not always perfect but they are trying to provide the service everyone expects. Wow, Kudos to Redwood!!

I'm surprised RV manufacturing isn't split into a couple of central industrial areas. Dallas and Houston come to mind. Cost of living cheap, shipping port near by, plenty of labor, mild winters etc. I don't know why the Amish have a lock on manufacturing.

Keystone had a service center/manufacturing plant in Oregon that I had to go to for warranty on the frame. Don't know if they still have it there or not.

Indiana is definitely the focus for this stuff. You would think they would look at Detroit to expand

Service center? All we want is a dealer in the greater Seattle area.

Haha! Yes! I hear you on the Seattle location. B. Young in Portland has been just fine for purchase. I will let you know how our first service goes. They did tell us that they do accommodate full timers with hookups in their lot if it has to stay overnight or worse. So that is a good thing.

If you need work while at home come on up North. Fraserway have been excellent and are only about 10 mls across the border.

Unfortunately Redwood told us we cannot use a Canadian dealer (specifically yours) for warranty repair.

Isn't that interesting, so what would happen if you were going through BC enroute to Alaska and needed work done.

We were told we can go to any RW or Crossroads dealer - Canada or USA. My understanding is that, unlike new cars/trucks, we can even purchase new RV's across the border.

Think I'll chat with the service manager when I get home next week.

We expect to spend a fair amount of time in the PNW, since my son is in Olympia, my daughter is in Portland and my best buddy is in Eugene, and his house came with an in-law RV pad with hookups. Can we expect to get some decent service in Eugene/Portland when we need it?

Yep still do. It's way East on I-84. Used to drive by it every now and then when I officially lived in OR. They manufacture the Passport line out there.

Also Forest River has a production plant in the Dallas, OR are for the Rpod and Surveyor line as well.

B.Young RV in PDX and George Sutton RV in Eugene. Previous experience with GS in Eugene was good and B.Young has been good with my RW. So I think you are in good hands.

Andy,

Let me know what he says. I was told "no" by Ron Howard and Mark Quinn.
