Hello Jack , there is not much to file , the lining is coated metal , and the coating is thin.. That is why I took some of the radius in the corner , and the opposite corner ( down bottom) .. Mine was also 42-1/4" , so you should be ok..
I do not remember all me measurements , sorry cant help you on that.. The middle piece does not have the liner , it just fits into the grove in the door..
I did not remove the liner , I was afraid it would not go back on tight...
I am sure you will love it , we like to keep the main door open with the heat or AC on so we can see out , and have light come in... Its a great addition...

It looks very nice! If my shrink wrap finally gives up this year after 2 summers, I may have to give them a try. I have really enjoyed not having that dark door closed.

Jack ,
I went to the big Box store and purchased a roll of 1/8" thick X 3/4" wide felt... I cut it to length where I could see light between the frame of the door and the door buddy.. I just used a thin blade screw driver to push it in so it cannot be seen... Nice , finished look

Great idea. I'll do it.
I was probably overthinking this, but you had mentioned on an earlier post about filing...you said there is not much to file...are you referring to filing the screen door? Dumb question...
Thanks,
Jack

No , not the door.... file the protective corner edge that comes on the door buddy.... I would not file the door frame.

New panels came in a little short...

How about you folks? nice weather over on your coast ?

Hello, We got our panels a couple of weeks ago. We installed them over the weekend. It's not a good fit. I guess if we trim the curved edges we can make it work, but we were a little disappointed. We need to remove the trim work and trim the corners and hope it works. Any other suggestions. Our measurements were spot on, not sure why it came back a little short.
Hope all is well with you and yours. We are STILL trying to get our warranty issues handled (9 months later). Example...since day one, when the slide closes it rubs so hard on the tile floor it has removed several spots of the tile design (they have replaced the tiles in the area 3 times-just haven't fixed the cause). We also have a bad "lean" it's a little over 3/4 of an inch, again, since day one... before we drove it off the lot. Lippert has them running test?!?
The list goes on...The battle is with Camping World, Mesa, AZ not Redwood. Horrible service department at Camping World. Most of our list has been repaired 3 times or more and it's still not right. We store our rig in Flagstaff, AZ in the summer, so we are going to drop it off there on the 31st and PRAY someone knows what their doing. Redwood's customer service has been great...thank goodness, if not for them we wouldn't know what's going on. Have a great summer!!!!

I had to replace the top panel of mine, the original was about 1/4" too small on both measurments.. That's a shame about your issues with your dealer.. I have heard of some real bad things with CW and thier service.... I would possibly look for another dealer...
I would not drop that trailer off until they gave me a time frame as to when I could pick t back up... No way would I just drop it and say call me when done..
Good luck, and try to enjoy your summer also./.

Redwood said we needed to stick with Camping World because of the open warranty issues/they have been paid for all of the necessary work that's still not FIXED..Actually, I spoke to our attorney today. I don't want to go down this road, we just want it fixed!!They have two weeks to get everything finished. If not, we have no choice but to take legal action. WE LOVE OUR RIG, but this is getting old...
So, you waxed the shower....wow! When I saw that I asked Jim to do the same thing... Cheers!

I went through a similar situation when I had a Crossroads recommended dealer try and fix my warranty issues. They did a terrible job and Redwood wanted me to take it back to that dealer since they had been paid for it. I sent Redwood pictures of their work and told them I already knew what kind of work they did and I would not take it back there. They contacted the dealer anyway and the dealer refused to take it back. Redwood picked my 31SL up and took it to the service center for repairs. I was required to pick it up there so that they could make sure I was satisfied with the fixes. Their work was fantastic!! I had gotten so frustrated with Redwood that I was looking into legal processes but after I talked direct to the Redwood General Manager, things were taken care of quickly. Don't give up, they are required by law to provide warranty repairs during their stated warranty period. I hate to see this kind of stuff still going on. I made sure I kept copies of all e-mails from the start to the finish. I also documented who I talked to ,the dates and times, and what the conversation was about. Good luck!

Yes, I have been waxing the shower inside walls... It helps with water runoff... Helps prevent water and soap stain build up....

I installed the door buddy on mine and it works great. The fit was not very good and took some trimming to make it fit. Not very professional for the price. Make a cardboard border cutout of the door and go to a glass shop and have them cut the plex would be better and probably cheaper.
