My wife and I have owned six RV's including two Beaver Marquis' and a Holiday Rambler Class A diesel pusher, two new Airstream Trailers and our Redwood. Hands down the Redwood is our favorite! That said the wife says it's time to start spending more time in Italy, and while the Redwood is awesome, it's not the rig for those tiny roads in Lake Como! We just added $7,500 in new improvements last June including new G-Rated Tires and Wheels, an Ultra-Fab Trailair King Pin Box (boy does it ride smooth now), and a brand new Tempurpedic king mattress. We are asking $56,950 OBO.

I built a little webpage here on one of one of my Realtor wife's web sites to view complete information and a slide show with large photos. The trailer is stored indoors in Indio, California near Palm Springs and the LA area.

Feel free to contact me (Bill) more for more info at (760) 668-9341.

An uneventful trip bringing her home to Oklahoma. Took a week stopping in Tucson and Van Horn, Tx. Pulled like a dream. Headwinds all the way from Abilene to Norman. Need another fuel tank!

If your interested in an aux tank check out ATI tank in Florida. They sell aux tanks and toolbox tank combos. Or you can custom design one which is what I did. Got 60 more gallons now plumbed directly into the tank. Hurts a little to fill it up but if I can get 10mpg that's 1000 miles between fillups!

I've got a transfer flow replacement tank in mine. 50 gallons is about right for me.

Congrats and welcome. An aux tank has the good and bad. The bad, it hurts a little more when you stop. The good, you don't have to hurt as often. It all works out in the end, and one advantage, if you can find the fuel a little cheaper, you can save a little more.

I too am looking at some sort of fuel capacity upgrade. I am looking at upgrading my truck next year so holding off until then. I also have a truck camper that I use, therefore I don't want anything in the bed of the truck so I am looking at a fuel tank replacement by transfer flow

Also check Titan Tank. I installed their 60gal factory replacement on my GMC CC DRW. Best upgrade ever!

I investigated a replacement tank too as we get less than 250 miles out of a tank when towing...
one thing that stopped me is the extra weight it would add to my already portly tow vehicle that has to stay on a constant diet !

that and the fact that after about 4 or 5 hours our 'internal tanks' need attention anyway - especially the female tank

I want to get one eventually that fits around a rolling truck bed cover. I just can't remember where I have seen them. They require a notched out section in the front.

Replacement tanks are the only way to go IMHO. They cost a little more upfront but once installed you never have to think about them again. I did have to get Ford to reprogram my computer for the larger capacity, but that's it. You'll likely never recover the cost of the tank through cheaper fuel but the peace of mind is worth it when towing the house on wheels. I think I calculated that after about 60k I might break even on the tank at .10 Gal/savings for shopping for fuel.

Mine was made by American Tank. I love it
