Slide-in-Slide for 39MB

Hello
Narrowing in on a 39MB with Wine Bar option from factory. The slide-in-slide design looks like great way to increase floor space in bedroom

1. Does it work? Maintenance issues with cable or rail system?
2. Can you add king bed upgrade with it. Local sales guys were unsure.

Thank you
Dan & Julie in Flagstaff

I have the KING slide in slide, it does add a ton of room to the bedroom!! Knock. On wood, mine works as described.. It is the Schwintec system, but a very small slide, so I do not see any issues.
Not sure the king slide in slide is available on that model?

I only wish the King slide-in-slide was available when we bought, but it was queen only so we opted for king - no slide-in-slide. The 38RL now has king slide-in-slide. As stated, not sure about the 39MB.

It would be interesting to see if Redwood switches to the new and improved Schwintek system.

Also if this helps, If you are in a situation where you can only open the first slide the system is made so you can do that without a problem. This I got from one of the reps from RW. As we want to order the slide in slide but were worried if we wound up some where with little side room.

No problems with the small slides like this. I quized Nino - Redwood Regional Sales Manager when we were working together at the Dallas RV Show a few weeks back....the slide-n-slide is only available with the queen bed for the 39MB. I would have gotten the king too, had it been available on this unit. However, we love our large bedroom just the same. Glad we went that route.

Just an FYI: The bedroom slide on the MB does open further than the other models so we didn't even give the slide-in-a-slide opion a thought if it's even avail on the MB, don't recall. Just remember that means you have to crawl that much farther to get to the head of the bed.

Ah that's true, these slides don't all open the same depth. Our 36RL is shallow, so it's tight without the slide-in-slide.

With the slide in slide it gives you more room from the foot of the bed and dresser. The bed doesn't grow when you open the other slide. It is the same crawling distance.. but I also don't change the sheets wherein the problem may lie
