So sorry to see that Joe, I know you really liked yours and took great care of it. The RD was one of the very few new Redwoods we saw that we liked. The other was the rear kitchen. My thoughts are if you could, find one in Indiana somewhere and make it part of the deal that the dealer takes it to MorRyde for the IS before you get it..
Also, a friend just went through this and got an extra $4k out of the insurance for value by providing the IS and tire upgrades receipts.

Very sorry for your loss. Let us know how your insurance comes through. Always wonder about insurance and a claim like this.

Wow !! Very sorry to see your pride and joy in that condition....Its always obvious to see the pride you take in the care of your RW...No one got hurt....and its really only "stuff".....and I am sure you find a replacement that you will enjoy....Make sure your insurance pays !!...All the extra's you had on your rig....
Good luck !

Joe,
Just heard last night and so sorry this happened. First, I am so glad no one was inside, and second, I really hope insurance comes through for you!
I don't know if any of you old MOC folks remember this happening before. It's pretty rare to have this happen to two friends in a guys lifetime:

Sorry this happened to you. We have a 13. If it was us, we'd have a hard time buying a new Redwood. We really like what we have, but just don't care for the new ones.

Like everyone else, Thanks god no one was injured, what a shame about the trailer. Does anyone know why or when Redwood stopped the slide in the slide ? Was there any problems ? anywhere we go with our 38RL, besides everyone talking about how beautiful the trailer is, the next topic is the slide in slide.

I see that a new (or newish) Jayco Pinnacle offers the slide in slide option one one of their floor plans....never heard of anyone having trouble with the set-up....the Shwintech on the bed slide is good because the slide is small and light....The cable driven outer slide of this set-up uses a very reliable system.....those have been the least in regards to issues.....with most common issues with the shwintech happen..... if the slide is too heavy....

Beyond that it was an unfortunate event....if it all possible you DONT want it repaired....so the "Totalled" news is great news....I have seen some extensive repairs....and you would never be satisfied with the results.....things never fit the same....cosmetics is never as good as original....and some things like slides seem to start acting up....
Moving on....you will find great joy in your new rig....and this will be an interesting topic at "Happy Hour"...
