WI FI Booster
Is anyone using a WI FI Booster?? I'm starting my search for one. Would like to know of models / makes that you are having success with.

I use the TP-Link AC1200 USB WIFI booster and found it works very good. I can pick up signals at least a 1/4 a mile away.

The weboost (Wilson Electronics) 4G-X OTR looks like one of the best. It's on my list... but somewhat pricey.

Given that MOST parks have 'less than optimal' wifi - I've never pursued it

You're so right. Most campgrounds seem to only spend enough to advertise they have WiFi. Wish they would "heat map" to check where they actually have coverage once in a while!
These boosters are mainly for boosting Verizon and other carriers 3G and 4G data signals.

That was my next question, since I have a Verizon Jet Pack for 4G that I use. I'm often surprised that even with the Jet Pack, online activities can be slow. Will one of these boosters help me out?

Preferable to use campground Wi-Fi (free), but too bad we have to resort to expensive 4G and pay for useage just to get on the web. But at least it's available...
At my rural campground, my 4G Jetpack boosts me from no connect to 2 bars. The weboost-type boosters should be able to go further.

what set up did you get. The directional or the omni directional. could you let us know how it turns out. I'm just getting fedup with lousy wifi at RV parks. The signal at the RW rally cost me close to 200$ as I had to tether onto my phone all the time...thanks Wayne
