YIPEEE!The YEEE HAWWW ! comes after the PDI. Before you roll out, be sure you have at least 110 PSi in those wheels and it wouldn't hurt to have them torque at least a couple wheel lugs across from each other to be sure they ar between 110 and 120... Safety Safety Safety ENJOY 1

Kec n JJ,

Have fun with your new rig. Take a lot of time with the PDI and keep good records. Our dealer did a great job fixing the few items requiring attention.

I have been putting an intense PDI checklist together - with the help and input from some folks here on the RW forum. It will be VERY thorough. Then a quick shakedown cruise and then we have a trip planned for most of May - heading from CO to Portland OR, down the coast, wine country, Lots of family time this trip.

JJ - Where are you planning to stay on the Oregon Coast. We are planning to leave Vancouver May 8th, stop in Vancouver WA overnight and then head to the coast. We are planning on staying mostly South of Newport as we have stayed at a number of our timeshares between Astoria & Newport.

We are looking at Bandon, Coos Bay and Florence, then stop in Long Beach, WA enroute home.

We haven't gotten that far yet. We typically don't do a whole lot of planning - more just roaming and do what we feel like doing. But we'll keep you posted if/when we pin something down.

Approaching the Oregon border, above Vancouver is Longview. A Motel 6 on the left will next show the truck route to the right for the Lewis and Clarke bridge across the Columbia river. Once over, follow the highway to the coast and Astoria. This is BY FAR the route pulling the rig. (NO HILLS)
Pass thru Astoria south to CANNON BEACH and their rv park. Easy left off highway and a great place to stay. TWO thumbs up. Walk to town, shuttle back with crab, wine and haystack bread. Park has indoor pool, store, fuel and loves those of us from the "frozen" north.
The cheese factory in Tillimuck with ALL their dairy products is just south and a must.
Key West is one of a kind ...but ..the Oregon coast is not to be missed.
Coastal highway deserves RESPECT, but we know about respect. Crap...we're JUST 52' and retired.
Thanks for allowing my 2 minutes, Papa Stu.

Stu - Concur, that is the route I normally use when heading to the coast. The Boss wants to hit Malls in Portland for the no sales tax shopping, so I am looking at I-5 South and then the 38 to the coast, which is identified as a truck route.

We have spent numerous weeks at our timeshares on the north coast, so we will probably bypass Newport to Astoria when heading North. If not, Cannon Beach is a definite stop.

I'm still researching campgrounds. Will send you a PM when we have decided which ones we're going to use. We are thinking about staying a week at each location.

Perhaps we can get a mini rally going.

Well, we just got back from a 2 day trip to Canton and placed our order for our 38GK. We spent a couple of hours with our dealer and I think we have ordered about everything possible. Got a chance to see Atom Ant's new rig sitting out front getting ready for him to arrive and take her home. We expect to have ours in mid May.

Yeah!!!!!!!

Now, if we could just get a buyer for our house everything would be perfect.

Royce, I told Brad I saw it, but we didn't take a tour. I did look at the Outside Entertainment Center because we were ordering it and I had questions as to how the bracket worked. He is on his way now to pick it up. Should be doing his PDI on Wednesday. How exciting!
