Hello everybody, just found this forum on my research journey for finding which fifth wheel to purchase for full time living, nothing like talking to people with experience and knowledge who actually live in a RV. 😃😃

Actually leaning to the FL or the GK, it seems the more I look the harder it gets on which one. My thoughts go with more storage in the Kitchen area, it seems the GK has a couple pantries, the FL has a lot of cabinets also. I like the extra room in the bedroom that the GK offers from the dual slide. Decisions, Decisions, I feel people here would have a great ideas, opinions from there ownership experiences. Maybe prevent some mistakes. I will be living full-time. Advice more than welcome. Thanks to all. Randy in Oregon

Welcome! Each one of us have different ideas as to what we want/like, but as far as Redwoods go I don't believe you could go wrong with whichever floor plan trips your trigger.

We bought our 2015 38GK in April and love it. Been in it full time and love the layout. Hate the service from the dealers so be very careful to get everything in writing when you purchase yours. Check around and check dealer and service center reviews in your area.

Welcome to the Forum, the wife and I own a 38FL and rolled around this great country of ours to the tune of 10K miles last summer. We loved every minute, but found when we did run into little issues the Forum was our "go to" source of real information. You will love the Redwood product, of course like anything this big it's going to have issues that need attending to. But that's have the fun. Enjoy, and Happy New Years.

Welcome.
We own the 38RE floorplan are generally pleased with it. Agree with Darrell about the forum. The members are extremely helpful with any issues you may have.

I think the Redwood is a great full-time RV. I have lived in mine since September, with very minimal issues. I have a 2015 36rl, and love it. One thing I'm noticing this Winter, with some pretty cold temps, this RW seems to be very well insulated, compared to other I've lived in.

Our Redwood appears to be insulated pretty good and it seems to be less drafty / cold around the slides than previous 5th Wheels.

^Yes. I feel no drafts in mine, much(very minor on the stove side of the island). This is one cozy RV, in cold weather. I'm at 39 outside right now, and 72 inside, with the fireplace, and one other small electric heater, and the furnace hasn't kicked on all day. At night, I turn off all electric heaters, except an oil heater, and my furnace set at 65. It stays pretty warm. I get up in the morning, turn the fireplace on, and it warms very quick. I'm really sold on this RW.I did have to wrap a blanket in the outside TV compartment, and stuff a blanket on the inside, where the buffet leads to the TV compartment, but now there isn't a draft there. We are heading toward 0 the middle of the week. I'll post another update then.
