We just ordered our 38FL at the Tampa show a couple of weeks ago. Hoping to get it sometime in April. Very excited. We are in the Cool Springs (Franklin) area.

Perhaps we need to plan a Tennessee Redwood meet up.......

Ken & Gissi,

Congratulations on selecting a Redwood and enjoy your FL when it arrives. I think you'll be the first with a 2015 truck, which hopefully is a dually.

Where are you planning your first outing in the new coach.

Ken & Gissi,

Sounds like a great idea! We made our reservation and got site C47 for 7 - 11 Aug. What are your plans?

Ended up buying the 38FL from Lazydays in Tampa, FL so we will wait until our F350 (yes DRW+diesel) is delivered to us here in Nashville, then drive to Tampa to retrieve the coach. This will be a great way to break in the new truck and get comfortable driving it w/o pulling the RV.

Once we have the 38FL we plan on spending a week at the Lazydays campground taking their classes and will start to provision it. That way if there are any issues we will be right at the dealer and they can sort it out before we drive off.

After that we are thinking of taking the it to a couple of the FL state parks in the Tampa area to see how it performs. Again if we have any issues we will just drive it back to Lazydays so they can hopefully resolve them quickly.

Once we are happy that all is well we will spend 3 or 4 days driving back to Nashville.

I understand there can be issues with a new coach so we want to make sure we are prepared for them and can minimize their impact if we do have some.

No matter what this clearly is the beginning of a grand adventure!

Ken...an FYI, I'll be in Ocala, Fl at the Ft Wilderness RV resort at the end of April first part of May. We bought a Lot at the Town Park portion of the park so we have a place to winter. http://www.townpark.us/ is the web site if you want a look see.

Thanks for the heads up. This sounds like fun.

Just made reservations at the Twin Mills Campground for 8/7-8/11 but haven't received a site yet. If others are leaving from the TN area perhaps we can caravan up.

Give the campground a ring directly to reserve a specific site. I received a call back from them this morning.

Ken and Gissi - so how did you get to each corner of the US without hitting the states inbetween?

Maybe you just credit overnights, or you got the propeller option?

Atom_Ant,

I only counted states that we have done something in. Driving through doesn't count. Looking forward to expanding the colored portion and perhaps even color outside the lines .

Haven't you ever heard the RV rules. You're suppose to do something after crossing each state line. I always told my wife that that's why each state has a welcome center to pull into. Big states like Nebraska and Texas aren't much fun.......but those North eastern states....wow.

I was wondering if maybe that wasn't it. I mean it could be that you moved to each of the corners and bought a new rig and started over. I didn't want to assume.

I'm a guy that don't get out much, and at $4 a gallon for diesel, if I cross the line I figure I earned the state on my map . If that isn't enough, my wife and I get out and do a dance at every border.

I'm told the rules are what ever you want them to be, and everybody has their own.
