Thanks everyone for the kind words and encouragement I sincerely appreciate that!
Brad that sounds awful! Sure hope they can fix that and the damage is not too extensive. Water leaks are always a scary issue with coaches.
Please keep us posted and good luck hope all turns out well for you !!

Ashley...you are on the money. Pay no attention to's. They are everywhere. If I worked for a pizza shop I would always say mine was best. Remember General Custer. Even with arrows flying he was always right. I guess if you bought your rig 1500 miles away from home you would be expected to tow it back there for repairs. I will say once again. IF THEY BUILT THEM RIGHT YOU WOULD NOT NEED THESE MANY REPAIRS.I HAVE MADE MORE REPAIRS ON THIS RIG THAN ANY OTHER I EVER HAD AND CONTINUE TO DO SO. No amount of twinky BS can change that. Mine is a lifestyle not a hobby.

Brad, Have them check and reseal behind the slide metal tracks of the bedroom slide - that is where my water came in from. They took each screw out and shot silicone into each hole. I have not had any issue with kitchen slide so not much help there.

It looks the whole rail has silicone on this one, I wonder if they corrected the problem.

Mine did not look like that, so they must have corrected the issue. They tried 5 other fixes before finding the silicone idea. None of the 5 obviously worked - just made messes.

Ashley did you buy your rig in Texas? If you did you know we have the Lemon law here and you can get a form from any dealer in Texas. Sounds like you may have a good case. I'm really sorry you are having so many problems. Wefull time and just traded our 393RLS Open Range for our 36RL and love it. We have some minor issues but nothing we can't live with until we can get to a dealer. My Open Range broke a wall away from the frame, broke 9 cables in 6 weeks, water leaks, replaced floors and slides so I got rid of it. I agree< I paid a lot of money to move to a luxry coach and I souldn't have to work on it. It should be right the fiorst time but we're only human so things break but with the warrenty why should I be the one to repair it?

We said... if we wanted a "fix r up r" we would have all gone on Craig's List and got something with 1 less zero in the price.

Just spoke with someone at Redwood who actually seems interested in getting my issues resolved. I feel better and I'm crossing my fingers that this person will make a difference. He seems really nice and genuinely sounded like he cared. We will see where it goes but I'm crossing my fingers. I do believe that this forum has been the link in all of this and caught someone's attention finally.
Wow Fathog sorry about all the issues you had with your Open Range. Glad you're happy with the unit you now have. BradP you said it !! I totally agree.

I will keep everyone posted on how things turn out. Hopefully with good news!

This is very good news hopefully everything will get worked out. Again it should not have been this long drawn out affair

Hi Ashley,

I called my service guy at Camping In Style in Whitby Ont on Monday about my leaks... he says stiff seals. He has already booked me an appointment for Apr 10 and will check the coach out then. We will perform the 1 yr warranty check and check frame and running gear to ensure we're all greased up and ready for another season.

Hope the Redwood guy looks after you in the same fashion.

Stiff seals on a new coach. Should be interesting.

Thank y'all. That's good Brad I'm glad they're getting you right in. Please update us with your situation because I'm very interested to hear more about how they fix it and what they say about it.
I'm still waiting for things to happen for me as well, but I'm hopeful regardless. I mean it's been this long what else can I do ya know. Thanks again.

Ours is still in the shop for repairs. This is the fourth time it's been in the shop. it's been there, this time since Nov 6 2012, going on 5 months. Total time in the shop or waiting for an appointment or redwood to make a decision on who does what repairs. Approx. 10 months since 4-24-12.
Must be those eight dollar an hour labors, doing a twenty five dollar an hour techs job.
Like a bad dream, with no end.

Sounds like a call to your state attorney for some direction.

Lilly I know you must be so far beyond frustrated !! That's just absolutely ridiculous! I'm still worried about that also. I don't have time for them to keep it more than a couple of weeks because we need it. Also if it's still not fixed when I go to pick it up I'm probably going to blow my top. We're waiting for our window and some other parts to come in before we take it to the shop. I called RVLock myself and spoke to them and they were so wonderful and are sending me a new keypad. They hadn't even been contacted by Redwood about my issues. That irked me a bit. Good luck Lilly hope everything works out well for you.
