2013 36rl dish washer problem
We have had our 2013 36rl for five years and the other day I tried the dish washer for the 4th time. I didn't but in the 3 cups of water before starting now I have a code E1 which is "flood". We have water under the island.
Is this a easy fix or would it be better to just replace the drawer with a new one?
Is there anyone in the Salem, Oregon area that works on these?
Thanks a lot,
Dave

I would call Standard TV and Appliance......many locations in the greater Portland area. They came out and replaced our pump while still under warranty.

If your drain hose is still connected behind the spice rack, my experience has been that they throw error code if the wash arm spindle in the bottom has bounced out of place. If so, drop it back in place. Everything else has to involve FP.

I agree, that's the only code/fault we've ever had.

Thank you all for your replies,
When I pull the drawer out ,water would run out from the bottom of the drawer onto the floor. I also can not shut off the dish washer. The only way I can stop the beeping, is to press on the lock button.
I think I may have damaged a seal by not putting in water before starting. I hadn't used the dish washer for over two years.
I would like to repair it myself but don.t know where to start.
I turned off the power to the washer to reset the board but that didn't help.
Thanks again.
Dave

Hi. I have a 2012 36FL. I too had a leak from the dishwasher. I searched YouTube, Fisher and Paykel. It shows how to remove the drawer and although it wasn't the exact same model, it helped tremendously. My leak turned out to be the inlet valve, $25.00. (Frost damage). Easy replacement and it now works fine.

I had anothe leak this morning. It turned out to be a broken clip that holds the waste outlet hose on. I pushed it back together and held it with 2 cable ties.
I left the broken piece in the photo to show what was the problem was.

Thanks Glyn,
Did you have a E1 code, or did you just have the leak?
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave. It brought up the code F1.
We noticed the leak, so I pulled the dishwasher straight away and found the problem.
They're not built to a high standard worthy of the price in my opinion.

I'm going to tear into the washer tomorrow now that we are back from our camping trip. Is it hard to remove the tray to get access to the under side? I thank you for the picture you sent.

You have to gain access to the internals, inlet and waste hoses by removing the drawer.
I'm happy to help you if I can.

Glyn, I found the problem, it was the drain connection just like seen in your picture. After some comments from my wife I made a permanent fix to the washer. I capped off the water, un-plugged the unit and removed every thing in the dish washer. I am installing furniture grade plywood, varnished, in the bottom of the washer, replacing the bottom rack. We will now have a nice size drawer for extra storage. We never really did use the dish washer in the first place and have always been concerned about water leaks.
Thanks to all for your reply's

Hi Dave. That's our next step if it fails again. Best wishes and safe travels to you both.
