Our 2013 36RL is prewired for the second awning. After this last trip we definitely want to add it.
Any idea what size I should look at and is it something I should pay the dealer to do or can someone reasonably handy do the install ? Like I mentioned, all the switches and wiring are pre-run (supposedly)

We ordered ours with a second awning. When we picked it up, the awning wasn't installed. After a lot of back and forths, we got the dealer to come out and install it. The awning size is not much bigger than the window opening and doesn't leave much room on either side of the window. It is pre-wired, in the inside cabinet and in the basement. I'm pretty handy and can install awnings, but after seeing how much trouble then went through, i'd pay them to do it. One problem i'm having now, is that the awning arm isn't closing flush with the side of the awning, the pre-wired plug is in the way. It was moved once already. I will be moving it over and coming up with some sort of plate to cover the elongated hole.

Piperguy,

We have the same model. Mine has a 12' I believe - the Carefree model for the awning is 0T 12LHJV, and the Model for the arm set is OVJVAP-MP. You should be able to get the color code from the other awning.

We use that awning all the time - its awesome for putting the picnic table under it.

Ours was wired for the second awning but didn't really want one. Instead we installed an exterior shade over the window by the table. It restricts the sun and heat, but you can still see through it.
