After a very long wait for the wheels to make it thru the machine shop and a SNAFU with the shipping I got my Alcoa wheels. I am surprised at how nice these wheels are compared to most sand cast aftermarket wheels. The Alcoa's are forged blanks that are 100% machined on every surface inside outside back side even the holes are machined smooth. I purchased these from Rickson wheel in MD , I was under the understanding it would be about 6 weeks from time of order …….. Well it was closer to 4 months ! But in the end I cant ask for a better high quality product. The factory rated the wheels at 6050lbs and Rickson machined the center hole to accept standard push thru center caps and standard 9/16 tapered seat lug nuts.

Probably a good move, since I've had two Factory installed 17.5 wheels develop slow leaks thru a pin hole in the wheel casting.

I purchased my 17.5’s from Trailer Tires and Wheels.. when they showed up there was one that was flat the next morning.. Called Scott at TTW and he replaced it that day via overnight... I have the aluminum HISPEC HWT Series 03.. They look so what like the ones pictured above
