Well the Free Standing table in an RL isn't really an option, but I was on the phone with Customer Service while ours was in production getting the Satellite cable routed where I wanted them and asked about changing from the standard RL table to the Free standing table from the FL. Must be someone from the Assembly floor was also in the office, so there was a short pause, then the comment that it could be done and that I would need to sign a waiver acknowledging that I knew we would have to move the table slightly before retracting the slides to prevent any damage. Said that wouldn't be a problem because we were already doing that in our Montana.

We replaced the rotating table that came in our RL with a free standing one from a furniture store. The rotating one was ok, but more options with the free standing.

We are having difficulties with our table in our 36FL 2013. It has a bar that you have to lift up the table and put into a metal piece on the window trim. It has pulled out of the wood now. We have tried all we know to keep the chairs also from "traveling " all over the kitchen as we travel. The pushing the leaves of the table into the chair cushion as we were taught at service does not work either. Would really appreciate some ideas or help.

We have the rotating table in our '13RL. Can anyone tell me what has to be done to get the table to move back against the wall (I'm assuming that will mean an inch or 2 away from the wall) when the table is parallel to the windows?

Marty and Sue,

try pulling the pin down and then jerking the table top. Mine gets a little stuck sometimes too. Once it's where you want it, let go of the pin and wiggle the table around a bit. As the pin finds the right location it will pop into place.

Before moving we attach the table to the bracket. It does have considerable movement, so we swing the table all the way forward. I figure the table doesn't move much when accelerating, but it does slide during braking. Therefore by swinging the table forward towards the door we eliminate the potential sliding during travel. This has worked well for us.

Chairs get stowed in the LR on the floor between the slides. We rarely use the 2 folding chairs, which we stow in front of the couch. There is sufficient room for both chairs across the front.

We use a non skid pad that looks like waffle foam, also used as no skid place mats. We put 1 under the fron legs of the chair folded in half, stops the chairs from traveling around. You could also lay them down, haven't tried that yet but who knows. For the table, try a longer screw in the plate and go to a larger dia screw, eg. Number 10. Before you install the screws, use gorilla glue, the brown one. It will convert the screws and wood into a one piece. Tape around the holes and be careful of glue drips. That stuff is awful to get off. Good luck

Has anyone removed the kitchen table to put in a more serviceable desk until we move into our final log home? Would it be easy to put it back when needed?

Has anyone removed the dining table completely from the wall? If you have are the screws anchored into the wall so that when you try to reinstall can you just stand it up and screw back in..Or does the part that the screws go into fall down on the other side of the wall?

Royce. We haven't removed our table but we did add a few larger diameter screws to tighten the loose mount better. There is either egs metal backers or aluminum tubes there to secure to. Shouldn't have anything that goes thru or that would fall down if you removed the mount.
