Does anyone know how to rotate the dining table from dining (4 people can sit at table) to banquet so that only 2 chairs fit? I have the 36RL built 10/11. I found the extension that willo make the table longer and the pin that will let me move the table from side to side (closer to the recliners or away from the recliners but not how to rotate it. The pictures on the website and in the brochure show it in the banquest style but no instructions anywhere. Thanks in advance.

According to the better half, pull the pin, turn it to the right and than push it back against the wall, the pin should engage.. The extensions have to be in to rotate. Reverse the procedure to return to the other position.

On my RL, I reach under the table and pull the handle down and pull the table away from the wall at the same time. Once away from the wall it will rotate.

Tried that but no luck. Don't see another place for the pin to engage. Can't feel what would rotate. Seems too close to the window for it to turn. Got any pictures of the mechanism that rotates?

Are you sure yours is made to rotate? We ahve a 2012, don't know the mfg date, and it isn't designed to move in any direction

Not a 36RL but in our 31SL, the handle under the table lets the table slide out from the wall and then rotate's and clears the wall. The 2012 36RL the dealer had on the lot when we ordered our 31SL did the same thing.

I'll try to take some pictures tonight. You have to pull the pin and then pull the whole table away from the window (while holding the pin down). Once it's away from the window it will rotate

Just a quick note from experience.... Our 36RL came with the table top that was set up to swivel and expand but the mount was incorrect. Redwood replaced the mount with the proper one and now the table does what it's advertised to do. You may have the same issue.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I started it back in 2012. Here it is November 2013 and we are at the Crossroads Service Center in Topeka Indiana getting some work done on our Redwood and one of the things was supposed to be getting the dining room table to rotate. i am sure that the brochure I have in the camper states that it rotates but am being told now that this feature did not come out until later and that the table i have is not designed to rotate. I told them of Grandpa's post about having the wrong base changed out but they are not willing to do this. Does anyone have one of the earlier brochures for the 36RL, does it say the table rotates? Would appreciate any help with this while we are still here.

Is this the type of under side your table has ?

it has to have the 'slots' and pin to rotate...

see the "C" cutout on the upper left ? look at yours...

I believe the table was originally mounted to the wall with a cantilever arm supporting the middle (entirely different than pictured above). It could be pulled out to add a leaf for additional seating. Sorry, but that's all I remember and can't look at ours because we ordered ours with the "Real Free Standing" table from the FL.

No, my table has a tubular arm that goes from the underside of the table to the floor at a 45 degree angle and hits the floor and wall in the angle part. Under the table it attaches to a square wooden block approx 9 x 9. This block does not allow the table to rotate but does have a pin that you can pull and it allows the table to slide either closer to the door or closer to the recliner. We are staying in a hotel at the moment so I don't have pictures but got word that we are able to pickup the camper about noon tomorrow. But NOT with the table fixed.

Based on what I remember and the description of your table mounting, it is not designed to rotate. You would need the mounting as shown in one of the earlier post. We wanted the ability to physically move our table, so we didn't want one attached to the wall, so I worked with RW Customer Service to have the Oval table from the FL model installed in ours. We needed the extra room between the recliners for a "Cat Tree".

Earlier models in 2012 did not rotate. Mine is like Homeguy and it did not rotate. I made my own changes under the table so I can slide it off the base and place it back in a different direction. Yes the brochure and web site at the time mentioned a rotating table, but if I remember correctly RW had problems with the initial rotating system so It is my belief that they continued production for a period of time with a fixed table. If RW/Crossroads refuse to upgrade you table/base ping me and I can point you to the pictures I previously posted showing my modifications for changing the orientation of the table.

.

Never knew you could order a free standing table or would have gone that route. But the rotating table was an interesting idea that would have worked well for me if i had actually got one! DH thinks it is no big deal but it is for me.

Thanks for everyone's help and input.

Look at it from the bright side....
at least yours doesn't move 1 to 2 inches when locked in place like ours does.

granddaughters with glasses of milk or red cool-aid are a frightening thing at all times, much less when the table moves

Micwtx - go to this link and scroll down to the second from the last picture and you will see the modifications I made to my table so I can mount it in either direction. I also made my post removable as well, so the entire table can be removed and stored.

We have a 36RL that has a manufacture date of March, 2012 and it came with the table that rotates.

The free standing table in the FL is excellent. Only issue is remembering to secure the darn thing before moving.
