How about a couple of "Bouncing Bettys", just remember where you put them.

If you handle it correctly........

the criminal will call the police themselves to get a reprieve.

The idea is to drink all the booze before they get there, then throw the empty bottles at them and their pooping dogs. It's the redneck way

We had a Scary incounter over labor day weekend. It was about 10:30at night on sunday and we had heard a loud crash outside. I went out to see some one stealing a company truck from the lot on the other side of the campground fence. they were ramming the fence to get out with the truck. Once She broke free she drove into the campground. I went inside and locked the door the woman that took the truck parked it right in front of our trailer and jumped out with a 10" butcher knife in her hand. I went and got the shotgun wife as doing dishes and was not paying attention. Next thing I heard was a knock at the door and heard my wife pull the handle but the deadbolt was locked so it did not open and I yelled to her not to open the door. Looked out the slide window and the woman was standing there holding the knife at the door. once I opened the blind and loaded the shotgun she knew to take off running. 40 mins later the police caught her hiding in my neighbors truck he had left unlocked. They had to taser her 7 times to get her out and handcuffed. Made for interesting talk around the campground the next day. Most of the PPL did not even know it happened. All the years we had been camping first time I had to get the gun but so glad we had it.

Yes, an my wife always wants to know why I want it in the trailer. Know she does not questions it and I find her locking the door more now. I am taking her out and letting her shoot the gun this weekend.

The woman was on meth and she got 50 months. Could have happened any where these days We were in a very nice CG resort in Oregon when this happened.

A short barreled 12 ga Pump makes a very unmistakeable sound as the slide is racked.........
And a full frame 9mm with light and laser is unmistakeable also ........

Just sayin'

I keep a Mossberg 20Ga Cruiser 6 shot pump for Protection. Strong enough to get the job done and you point and shoot. Racking the pump is enough to get the point across in most cases.

Agree ~ doesn't even have to be loaded. Most anyone knows that sound ....

I have the 12 because I've owned it for 40 years. If buying new I would go for the 20 so it would be easier to handle. 12 ga Single O Buck is a pretty stout recoil.

Yes, I would be on here asking where I can find some wood and gelcoat filler along with some touch up paint!

That peephole is terrible. I think I may upgrade to this - simple, runs on batteries which is probably fine for vacationers.

I thought the peephole was a joke, asked the salesmen about it. Unless someone is standing on top of the stairs, not sure what you would see. It would need to be mounted at waist level to see someone.

Plus the fact you have to look through a screen

If that camera works, I think I would put it to the side of the door.

Mine is on an angle, a 90 degree angle.

I still remember coming back from bird hunting with my dear 'ol dad. He always wore a wife beater undershirt under his dress shirt and the dress shirt would always come off at the end of the day. His Browning semi 12 would always leave a patch of black and blue two yards across. Maybe he just had very sensitive dermal layers.
