Hey Ken,
Those pictures are actually in the cabinet above the TV. I don't have any loose cables. I'm not sure really the best way to trace cables. Will I need any special type of equipment?

Exactly right. Perhaps ours aren't wired the same?!! It would seem that you should have three loose coax cables some place if it was prewired for satellite.
I bought a coax tester sometime ago at home depot. I came with a controller with 4 colored coax caps. You put the caps on your coax connectors through out the rig, attach the controller at the input source, press the on button and the controller will light up with the different colors so you can identify the location.
One BIG word of caution using this system.....IT WILL NOT go through splitters! It will only identify straight cable runs.
If you see the orange coax in my picture, the one with a single piece of electric tape, I connected my controller to it and one of the caps on the cable in the hutch slide by the outside TV. That's how I discovered the direct cable run.
I am really surprised that you don't have loose cables somewhere. That should be a part of the satellite prep.
Ken,
I hear ya as far as ours not being wired the same!
I'll be going to Home Depot tomorrow a.m. and purchasing one of those cable testers.
Thanks again!
Jack
HDMI cables are not required, but just the easiest, best connection type for pic/sound...
I'll go out and takes some pics of our directv setup in the 38gk...
(as soon as LSU stops turning the ball over and beats Ole Miss )

We have a 2017 RW 38RE. The "cable" tv (living room) is all snowy but the other 2 tvs are great. all 3 work great on Direct TV and antennae. how do I fix the snowy portion? I cannot find the cable splitter to tighten screwed cable that I suspect is loose. all other cables are tight.
