I have a DOMETIC fridge in my 36 RL
Had to replace the fridge after 20 mouths. As it stopped working
If it happens again will replace fridge with a regular house fridge
Just stopped working.
Yes it was replaced under warranty
So far this year alone there have been 3 DOMETIC fridges that have quit working this year and had to de replaced.two were on warranty one was not.
They are $4400 to replace .
The one that was out of warranty was replaced with a stainless house fridge and it look great in there.
As for Norcol I no of two this year and two last year that had to be replaced one was on warranty.
Two where replaced with house fridges from lowes and fit perfectly in to replace do not know the fridge no.
The other fellow left the park as it was at the end of the season.
Lots of motor homes and fifth wheels manufactures are no putting house fridges in there units.
1 cost house fridge $1000.00 to replace
2 cost to operate a house fridge is 1/8 the cost to operate over a house fridge.
3 a small inverter will operate a fridge
In California now lots of RVer are replacing there fridges there with house fridges because the cost of electricity.

Do they leave the outside panels in place or can you stuff that area with insulation?
Seal up the hole with a good tape or white plastic and you can use spay foam or insulation
You want to make it water tight
You can use insulation board too.
Helped two people do it and we used spay foam and insulating board that has the silver paper on the one side
The one unit the fridge was counter top depth and perfect size width wise we added a piece of trim to top.
The other unit was replacing a Norcol the replacement fridge was also a counter depth model black.
Fit really nice had to cut the cabinet for the hinge to make it fit.
