dripping sound in rear ac roof area

i keep hearing a dripping sound in the center of the ceiling when rear ac is running , i keep feeling around for wetness no sign, could ac roof seal or condensate be dripping from upper ac unit?

i have a cabinet counter top corner that has swelled thought that was a roof leak or window leak been on the roof many times smeared some sealer around some very small cracks

but believe is unrelated

could ac be leaking condensate into upper roof i cant see or feel any wetness but the noise is really bugging me ,short of taking roof down has anyone encoutered this isssue before?

Last year when we were in FL. for the first time I decided to put the AC fans on auto instead of continuous setting and that was a mistake. We had water coming through the ceiling in the kitchen. I went to investigate and one AC was all frosted up. I let it defrost and then let the fans stay running and all was fine.

In hot weather always keep the fans on high. Been down this road many times with frosted up ac

Just had new roof due to rear air leak. No spots or stains inside.

If your ac freezes up that means something is amiss...probably freon levels... and they can be repaired/ recharged even though some say they can't...

One thing you can quickly check is pull off the inside cover and look for the four bolts on each corner with springs on them... these can be used to tighten down the top unit onto the roof to ensure it is sealing...
only tighten slightly, it can be too tight...

Always..run the fan speed on high...my wife hates the blowing form the AC. Last year tried running the front on high and the ear on low. Next thing i knew it was dripping on to the counter.
