For those of you with the Black & Red full paint

Asked this before, but still wondering
What color is your awning fabric ?

Ours is a light grey/dark grey/blue, maybe indigo on carefree's website ?

which seems odd for something that has NO blue/grey in the color scheme

for a closer look, click to enlarge pic ...

We have a Black & Silver paint scheme [early 2013 model], our awnings are grey/brown on the top, white on the bottom. Ours have a very subtile change of shade.
I've noticed some are colored on the bottom and the color changes are very noticeable.

I've got Black & Red full paint and I believe ours is tan/black. It's black up by the RV so that when you roll it up all you see is Black and it blends in with the Black portion of the body paint.

John,

Are those vinyl? They almost look fabric, like Sunbrella which is an upgrade to the factory awning.

PS - beautiful yard - which I had that kind of setback!

Dunno about the fabric type...
it's what came on ours built around first of august last year...

Thanks for the kudos on the yard -
don't you know EVERYTHING is bigger in TexUS ?!?

and since I graduated from yard work, makes for a yardMEN bill that is a little larger than some...

Everytime I see the picture of your Redwood and truck its make me wish I would have stuck it out and found a Platinum Black truck instead of my regular Lariat Black truck. Mine's nice, but I just really dig the painted to match bumpers!

Thanks lwg !
we like it too - has not given us a HICCUP and does it's job well...
we like the black so much the wife has the same black on her Explorer Sport!

AA,
you CAN have it --- probably a LOT of new tailgates on craigslist
I know - I found one for my previous truck when I dropped the previous 5er on it
It was a take off from a service body outfitters shop ... (or so he said !)

Ha Ha - No - I meant you are ABLE to have it

I like the 'shiny' stuff !
I see more platinums running around the DFW area than 'work trucks'.

Dang, and they just made us take 'ambiguous writing training' at the office !!!!!

hey did you change your signature picture - Is that the new truck in the same park ???

I thought this was about the Redwood paint so please bear with me if i have the wrong messages. It seems I remember that Redwood was having issues with Redwood paint during one year of manufacturing. We have a neighbor in the RV park that have a 2011 and it has faded on the cap very badly. Was there a problem with these that Redwoid is standing behind? Thanks for your help!

Eileen

Eileen, I believe there is an issue of fading on the front and rear caps, but only on the standard units without the Full Body Paint. RW has solved the problem by making the full body paint a manatory option.

Yes, they have the Gel Coat but I thought the front was paint. They are not on the forum and asked me to check on whether Redwood stood behind those units. It doesn't look very good. There are two Redwoods with the gel coat finish in the rV park we are in for the winter.

Redwood will take care of it at no cost IF it is still under the 2 year warranty or at least reported and documented before the 2 year mark.
