This evening i noticed the trim around the hitch was pulling away from the fiberglass. I also noticed water leaking from around the hitch light switch. Upon removal of both the water poured out. The only road miles have been from denver to seattle, dont they pressure check these? Has any body had their front cap off to see behind it. I am curious if my closet is in danger of getting wet. I would reseal it but currently it is snowing. I guess maybe a tarp tomorrow, for a brand new Redwood. Thanks all, Gus.

Gus, I would get to the nearest crossroads service center. Here is a link that will help you find one. http://forums.crossroadsrv.com/buyer...ce_center.aspI would insist on obtaining emergency repair due to the potential water damage possibilities. I would also call Redwood now, leave a message as well as go on their website and leave a message on the "contact us" depicting your issue. Redwood has always taken care of anything I have reported with no questions and total professionalism. Take care

Gus,
I'm betting you have water damage and the insulation is soaked with no way to dry it out other than to remove the front cap and dry it out and replace the insulation.
Never a dull moment with a redwood.

Gus, look under the bed for any water. Some folks have had water lines under the bed that go to the washer and dryer come off. I believe the drains were the problem. Do you have a washer and dryer?

Good point, the water pump has been running every so often leading me to believe water leak. I spent good part of an evening checking everything and could not find any that i hadnt allready fixed. I will look into that one a little further. Any idea why the water lines for a w/d that is in the slide run all the way up to the front?

The drain line for the washer run under the bed. Because of the design and where the washer is located it isn't the greatest design but it seems to be necessary. One thing to chech is the drain hose gets caught on the bed frame and will pull the drain hose off and let me tell you will know you have a leak when that happens. Water came out of my pin box like a river when it happened to me. The water lines are running under there also so take the bed off and look under it.

I keep seeing posts about water leaks on RL's with W/D'ers. Seems there is a problem with the drain hose under the bed.
Is this problem specific to the RL, or is it a common issue on all Redwoods, we're waiting delivery on a FB and if this is something I need to address I'd like to get it checked when we do the walk-thru on delivery.

We have a BR manufactured last April. I pulled a drawer out under the mattress and checked the hoses and the connections. Everything was tight with no issues related to binding.

Had the same problem and came from washing machine drain hose under bed. Redwood always takes care of the problems. To bad they can't build them right in the first place
