Well we made it home with our rig! If any of you have doubts about a Redwood....DON'T. I can't find anything of significant wrong with the unit and we are trilled. We ended up staying the night in a campground across the highway from the dealership for our first shake down night. The only thing we found wrong was a extra piece of carpet padding left under the carpet which the dealer took care of. The only thing I can find so far to change myself is the shower head is a "low water flow" head which my wife doesn't like (we aren't very green) so I'll hollow it out soon.
The quality is second to none and with the full body paint everybody looks at it. I'll be honest and have to say...not much in life intimidates me..... but those leveling buttons do! I'm sure I'll get them figured out in my head soon.
The dealership was great and felt bad because the unit came in 2 days late so I don't have much confidence in the delivery drivers. Anyway the dealership bought me a bottle of Jack for our first night.
THE WEIGHTS
Empty around 13820? (without the washer and dryer installed) with the generator, disk brakes, G rated tires, sleeper sofa, slide in slide (which we LOVE),40# LP tanks, ice maker, heat pumps, dual pane windows, convection micro wave, second awningand 3 electric fans.
Approx. Pin Weight 4000 lbs with approx. 400 lbs in the basement and 1/3 tank of fresh water (approx. 33 gallon), hot water heater full and full LP as well as 2 batteries.
GVW 16500

I scaled it out but that was without the hitch and all the other gear....in rechecking my numbers I'd say my empty pin weight is closer to 3500 lbs with LP full

I'm shopping for a dually..which makes my wife happy. I called the banker while I was still in Kansas City and told him to get ready because I was going to be upside down on this next deal and he just laughed. Nobody has ever seen me get the short end of the stick before when it comes to autos. I think he thought it was funny! He said he'd write the check

I figured that you would say that. Even if you didn't get the carrying capacity I figured you say that as well.

I found a truck that I'm going to build for my new pulling rig, I saw a picture of dually that a guy added a second drive axle to and man that was cool looking. So I will build one that not only looks cool but it will be functional as well. I'll stretch it out enough to put my bike carrier between the the cab and the front other trailer.

I would think you could get more than that, if that's all you want you'd be better off trading it in and not have the hassle of selling it yourself.

The dealer are only wanting to give me around 45 for it. It has 33,000 miles on it and I have all the records. I keep my trucks flawless and babied.
That truck gets more wax than any truck I've ever owned and washed twice a weekEdited by: Dave&Ginny
