Installed a second inverter

We have a 38GK with a residential refrigerator and a 1000 watt inverter.

This weekend, I installed a second inverter our rig for boon docking. It supplies constant power to the entertainment circuit and allows us to power the whole rig.

Also, I removed the 200 amp fuse that was installed next to the inverter and installed a new 300 amp fuse on the same cable, next to the battery.

I have attached the wiring diagram, photo of the 2 inverters, the factory inverter and a photo of the switch arrangement.

JELLY!!! (Jealous!!) That looks awesome!!! Keep us posted on it we want to do this too. I will probably wait and incorporate it with our solar installation.. It's going to be some big bucks so I will probably have to wait a little while :-)

We're going out next week to boon dock for a test run, just to see how the 4 -6 volt batteries fair overnight running the refer and the rig.

I want to get an idea of how long I'll need to run the generator(s) to recharge the batteries. I used to get by with an hour or 2 in the morning and at night, but that was using an RV refer.

We shall see.......

This must have been the weekend for inverters. I finally installed ours this weekend also. We replaced our Dometic fridge with a Samsung so I installed a 600w inverter this weekend for when we travel. On the plus side, my fridge, stove side recep, pantry recep and entertainment receps are on the same circuit so I won't lose power to the DVR. On the minus side, our toaster was plugged into the pantry recep and was too much for the 600 w inverter. Will need to do a quick circuit change for the pantry recep.

Now put about 4 solar panels on the roof and you'll never have to run that genny except for the AC!
