Installed Steady Fast Stablizers

My Steady Fast System came with Lock Nuts that are installed on the threaded rod after the wing nut is installed.
The lock nut keeps the wing nut from unscrewing and falling off.

Maybe they have changed the kit since I bought mine.
Been coast to coast with my Steady Fast in the last two years and have not lost anything

Mine came with the lock nuts too, but one fell off even though it was screwed on to the nylon. I will buy another nylock nut and try it again, if this one falls off I may burr the end a little to keep it from coming off.

I know this is an old thread... Do those who have them still think the SteadyFast is a good system? Any regrets? Are any of you using them with "SnapPads"?

Looks like you need to get on hands and knees under RW to lock and unlock them??? I am afraid we wouldn't get back up.

We still love the steady fast. We also have the snappads.
They are not to bad to tighten up but you do need to get down low to do it.

I never installed it on the Redwood. I put the SteadyFast on our old Montana and it was fantastic for stability, but yes, a little extra work for set-up and take-down. I guess the combination of the one-touch 6-point level-up, SnapPads, and a rear scissor jack on the RW vetoed the cost and half-day installation of the SteadyFast.
