Our previous 5th wheel came with props to keep the refrig door open (slightly) allowing for air flow while in storage. I also used a moisture absorbent. I have yet to find a product for my RW Norcold refrig that allows the door to be propped open. I'm reluctant to leave it ajar as I'm certain to forget when I pick it up from storage. Don't want the door to swing open on the first turn.

What are other RW owners using. Thanks for any advice.

The is a built-in feature on the Norcold to keep the door open slightly, but would not help if you forgot to close the doors before moving. Beyond that can't help much as ours in use pretty much 24/7.

We are now in the winter camping mode. Just got back from a great weekend of electric only. Used jugs of water for the tolet, hooked up for flushing the system, closed up the slides and (left the frig door open on the right and both freezer doors open). Locked up and will be back in two weeks and do it all over again. We are at a year round campground and leave our unit there with the rest of the full timers. 29 degrees this morning brrrrrrrr!

I usually turn off the unit and leave the doors open for a day to get all the moisture off the walls (sometimes mold will start growing). Then I mix up a water/bleach mixture and wipe down the entire inside of the unit and all the shelves. After I'm done with this cleaning, I close the doors and the next time I turn the system on it's ready to go.

In addition to the above, put some crumpled up newspaper in it. This will absorb any moisture that would happen to condense in it.

I prop the doors open and place a sticky note over the landing gear pad that reads "Fridge Open - CLOSE BEFORE MOVING COACH". I have to raise the gear in order to haul, therefore having a note over the gear pad ensures I wont forget to close the fridge.
