There is a space above the backsplash and below the microwave where they just left it blank no trim to hide the board behind. Is this common and if so why would they do that? It is clearly visible when sitting at the table or sitting in the recliners in my 36RL

It's hard to tell for sure from the picture, but it almost looks like they cut the backsplash too short. I would bring it up to the dealer to be corrected.

Send that picture to Leonard Nielsen (lnielsen@crossroadsrv.com) he is a customer service rep that we have dealt with regarding issues with our coach. He is great to work with and coordinated repairs on all of our issues in a most professional and timely manner.

Does not take too much grey matter at the factory to look at that and go "Oh Dang" and replace that does it?

Apparently it does...

Looks like they didn't hold it up high enough and the contact cement won the battle. Hope they can fix it for you without too much damage.

We have the same space under our convection oven, because we had our oven changed out. When Redwood changed their supplier to Frigidaire, the new oven had different measurements thus the space between backsplash and micro/convention.

Well that explains why the recent rigs I have seen have this space. Our dealer is getting some wood trim to "finish" the job, something that should have been done at the factory in my opinion. Luckily I have an excellent dealer Hitch N' Go in Delhi who is looking after this for me.
Doug.

We have that gap, too. But they have filled it in from behind with some of the wood panel. Still looks sort of hokey!

Has anyone else gotten a better fix?

Joyce

That would make sense. Any bounce from the oven would crack the backsplash.

I've had this thing since May and never noticed the gap until I read it here. Obviously not a big deal to me.Edited by: atom ant

correct, running slide in or any type of expansion would bust it.
