Great thread and good safety information! I am ready to make the change too but waiting on a solid recommendation as to what LED product is the right fit for the Redwood tail lights.

With bulb numbers you can get replacement LEDs for most standard lamps. Many of the on-line retailers have cross reference charts for the lamps. Some of the on-line retailers that I have purchased LED lamps from for both autos and builders are Super Bright LEDS and Autolumination.

Here are the links to each site.

Lets see if I can get this to work.

Tools needed

Remove these three screws

Pull gently separating the silicon. May have to use a knife

Better picture of clips and backs

Separated

The back of the new LED bucket

New buckets installed

Comparison side by side

Comparison back further

Real easy, ended up getting LED buckets from M4 Products. Cost delivered was approx $26.
Will end up doing the backup lights later on.

Looks great! I'm betting with the new LEDs you can see them from angles whereas the OEM lights you almost have to be directly behind them to notice them.

What's the P/N door those if you don't mind posting it up?

Not sure if they have a part number, but go to m4products.com, click on trailer, brake and running lights, then scroll down to 4" red led running and stop lamp. Comes with wire harness and seal, but you won't need either.

Dave the clearance lights are a piece of cake as well. I can't remember the part number, but it was like a t10 or something. Plug and play. The covers come off with either a twist or two screws.

Dave, I ordered led bulbs from M4products that have multiple leds and are to be a plug in replacement for the 194 bulb that comes in the clearance and side markers, also ordered the 4in. white led tail lite to put in in place of the backup lights. They are all listed under exterior lights on M4products site.

Just installed my LED taillights today. Just went to my local NAPA store and purchased the sealed units alone with no pigtail or rubber grommet. They look sharp in the dark.

Coming back from camping on Labor Day and traveling in the rain and fog I noticed the Semi's that had LED taillights.

Good info on this thread.

Yes, the LED tails definitely look sharp and stand out. Hoping that they are bright enough and stand out enough to make us seen. The LEDs all around should be standard. I can say that we aren't hearing the fan kick on hardly at all anymore since replacing all the lights in the rig with LEDs.

Just got done changing the tail, backup, and marker lights -- WAY BRIGHTER. Got all of them from M4products.Part #'s for them are tails- TAIL-4ROUND-RED, backup- TAIL-4ROUND-CLEAR , markers- T10-5-5050-CW. The 4inch lights snap into the stock reflective ring other wise is plug and play, but the markers are polarity sensitive so must be pluged in the correct way for them to light.

Our 12' RL also has backup lights. I think all of the models do.

Has anyone pulled the backup light yet? Guessing it's the standard 3 prong connector as well. That being said I believe this light has only one function to work as a backup light only? I've never checked it as I'm always driving! I'm looking to replace the rear lights as noted above only I think I might use these below from eTrailer for the tail/stop/turn, looking for a decent backup light to go with them.

It is the same light setup, same connector. Only used for backup lights. Someone replaced it with another red led light fixture and set it up for regular use as tail/stop/turn.

I got mine from M4 products. In fact I bought all my leds from them. Their taillight has 61 leds and is a lot cheaper than etrailer. They also have the backup light.

It is the same three prone connector for the backup light; however, only two prongs draw current. The other one is capped off.
