Was browsing this Lippert owned Linc Pad Remote and they use a 2011 Redwood in the Video. Wonder why it isn't offered on the Redwood as an option?Edited by: atom ant

That's a surprise. Maybe it's on a new option order form. Anyone have the latest order form??

We just got a new order form and this item is not on the list. It's pretty cool and since we are just about to order, I'll ask about it.

Just emailed Andy to ask......

That is a nice system. Like many of the high end coaches. I wonder how hard it would be to add a camera option or if they have plans for a security camera option.

Just got a reply from Andy....

"No".

It seems they will NOT be offering this as an option.

That sucks.

This surprises me.

I have a 2012 Infinity 3850RL that has a similar floor planto the 36RL. I have a remote for my three slides and awning. The remote is made by LCI componants (Lippert).

With all the technology that Redwood incorporates, its amazing that they haven't integrated a remote in their slides and awning.

Aaahhh, unless the super kid's going to get'em, "CARRIAGE".

Tom Lamontague, claims that it will be bigger with a higher end interior. I'm sure itsgoing to get theremotes that Redwood won't get until CARRIAGE debuts in September.

You'll probably see remotes in a Redwood after.

So Dave, do you think that the Carriage is going to be the "top end" type fifth wheel for Thor?

I have a camping buddy who has a Crossroads and he has remote on the two main slides and his center and rear landing gear. You are right when I ordered our 36RL in Dec it wasn't offered.

John and "Sam,

Tom is Redwoods CEO that was originally Carriages CEO. He answered some questions for me several months ago. At that time he mentioned that this Carriage will be "bigger" it will have a "higher end interior" then Redwood, his words. Remember, Redwood cash has purchased Carriage rights. and Real estate.

In my personal opinion I believe that Redwood has become a very successful company and nowRedwood can expand into a higher end market with their cash and finance capabilities.

Thor is going to set back and watch what "Tom" is going to do.

That sounds pretty cool. I wonder if that option can be added later.

It's a $2317.00 option on a new RW. We passed on ours, feel just that much more to go wrong and if it does, who's going to fix it?

Good point. Just showing my laziness. Maybe when it can start the grill and cook me a steak I may then consider it

Not sure exactly how all that tech stuff works, but all I can imagine is the grandkids trying to get on the internet with the pad and the fifth wheel going up and down, and the slides going in and out at the same time.

After a few fingers of "JacK" that "pad" could be a lot of fun.........not sure Ginny would see the humor in it though. I'd have the lights flickering, the shades bouncing up and down like tea bags and then the trailer dancing to some music.

Is the pad removable? ........it would be fun to sit by the campfire and convince the neighbors that the rig is haunted

I just pretend mine has one. I park the camper, get out a lawn chair and pour a whiskey sour and start tapping on my tablet - while Dory and Sarah are inside pressing buttons to make all the stuff set up.

There are two or three small monitor screens/control pads mounted inside and a small tablet. I know the Coopers have it on there unit, and Lady Cooper said we weren't missing anything not getting it with our unit.
