I was very disappointed to learn that the low point drains are exposed on the underside of the trailer. Why leave them exposed to the cold?
Has anyone tried to re-route them up above the under belly cover?
A friend has a Montana and his are located in his heated garage.
I spend the winter in Southern Utah and the temperatures in the night can get down to 20 but in the day it usually warms up to 50. The way it is now my water lines will be freezing at the low point drains.
Steve try a styrofoam noodle or block. Core it out after halfing it and put a quick tie around to secure. Cheap…try it once and check it after a hard freeze or sub zero. OR When we started to winterize we had pink from the factory come out before the water came out from a summer of camping.
If you empty your tanks and leave the valves open, you will have no freezing problem.
Other thing to do is when winterizing the unit, open the low point drains until A/F comes out. Mine are immediately below my washing machine connections.

Somthing I forgot to mention. When winteriing I forgot the stand pipes in the closet because we do not have a washer dryer. Went back and pumped out those lines and was surprised to see how much fresh water came out. I'm sure enough to cause problems.
