Modification For New Mattress

As most of you know unless you get the upgraded mattress they are not to pleasant to sleep on so we found a super deal over the weekend on a high end mattress. We purchased it and headed home excited. Well... we didn't think of the height difference. It wouldn't fit under the slide so off to the shop once again to modify it. We did have to give up the two draws but looks great and now we can sleep very well.
Even the old mattress would not fit under the slide with the bedding my wife likes on it so we had to fold back the blankets. I gave an extra 3" so it all goes under the slide now and looks better with the side tables bing a bit higher then the bed.

Also note the electrical under there. One is the feed for both plugs on the bedsides and there is another feed just laying under the frame with wire nuts. Not sure what it is for but I did make sure it was secure and safe.
