Prime Water Pump?

Because the fresh tank had been low, had not been used for several months decided to sanitize before the next trip. Pump sounds like it will run but no water from fresh water tank.

Looks like to prime this thing the basement wall needs to come down? If I go that far I just as well do some fresh water upgrades.

Any suggestions, I will be replacing the pump and in line filter.

These pumps shouldn't have to be primed. I had a similar problem in January 2013. It turned out to be an air leak from the hose used for winterizing.

Dumb question, but is the winterizing valve in the right position ? The city water bypasses the pump and it doesn't matter what position the valve is ..............

I found that the plastic cap on the end of the hose used for winterizing was missing the rubber washer. This allowed air to get into the system and I could only get a trickle of water out of the system.

Yes, that valve got me like I knew it would. Sanitizing tank about an hour ago, no water. Brain reboot and I remembered I closed that valve last fall.

These pumps are self priming so need to do anything as far as priming. My problem was the cap on the end of the antifreeze suction line. As in I forgot to reinstall the darn thing...major brain fart.
