rear awning

Just a thought to throw out. I have been considering moving my ladder to the side of the rig and installing one of the pull out type awnings over the rear window on our 36RL. I haven't looked into what supports would be there yet, but measurement wise there are awnings that would be the right size and fit the bill. Has anyone considered doing this yet? Any thoughts or suggestions? My thinking is having shade in the big back window when the sun is beating down, would help cool it down in the rear. Can't always park it in such a way to only get side to side sun. Thanks.

Carefree makes a roll down shade - then you wouldn't have to move the ladder

I like that. It appears it might be able to fit in there. Have to measure the distance between the ladder and side wall. I had looked before and didn't come up with anything, thanks for that link.

I think the little extra would help. I would have to add another thing to my checklist, right after "wife onboard? y//n" :-)
