What I find amazing is they made a fix for a problem many were told didn't exist! I think they still use pretty much the same Samsung fridge so should fit any of them I'd think.

Great, that's an upgrade I think. One would need to get measurements off the lock and the fridge to see if it will interchange then if these are all on Whirlpool brad fridges.

I think the Whirlpool is now standard. Ours is Samsung, and I prefer the Samsung. I do NOT want thru the door ice/water, just makes a mess in my opinion and I don't like giving up the door real estate. Interestingly, I was inside a new high-end MH last week and they have the same Whirlpool in them. The salesman was sharing a story about how one of his recent customers has been through TWO Whirlpool refrigerators and he wishes they would go back to Samsung. You cannot get the fridge out of the MH through the door. They have to remove the giant windshield (which always breaks, he said) and so it gets very expensive when the fridge quits working. YIKES.

Be nice if I had that on my refrigerator rather than a strap around fridge handle and freezer drawer. We have a 2016 38 RL but didn't get a lock like that for doors. Be nice if we could get that while at rally.

I talked to RW a few weeks back and this is not a fix any longer. Turns out that when they put the screws in the front of the fridge it has a chance to puncture a line in the fridge and they have since discontinued the lock.

Hey!
Just talked to Jim (GM) and he said that they are putting all of the fridge locks on the 2016 models and everything going forward. Unfortunately, they aren't retrofitting :-(
My completely non-professional opinion is that I would get the cool, personalized one that someone suggested instead. But that's just me.

I love the locks that they put on MH fridges. I don't see why they can't do those... a lock is a lock, and it's the same fridge. I guess I could contact them to find out where they got them. Using the straps works, but looks SOOOO tacky. This isn't a "camper" it's my HOME.

I just installed this lock on the main doors of our fridge. I purchased 2 of them but the gap between the fridge and freezer door is to wide for these to work. I will have to come up with something different for the freezer door.

Nice! I like how those look and how they work. We are going to install them also. Not sure about the freezer door, as you said. Is there a away to attach it to itself, on the side maybe? Not sure yet.

I think I can install one on the side of the freezer door. I will have to pull the fridge out to check. I was informed by the DW that it is not to her liking and preferred the velcro. To late now holes are drilled

Well, if it's any consolation to DW, tell her I was in some million dollar motorhomes last week and that's what they have and they look just like yours ;-)

She knows that and was surprised to see it.
