RL AC Set Points for cooling

I've tried searching for a past thread about the two AC set point values in our RL. I think I've tried quite a few set points for the two, but it's either not cold enough or meat locker territory. We're going to be in Mesa tomorrow and it's still close to 100 degrees. If anyone remembers where I can find that, I would appreciate it.

Thanks, Jim

Last year when we were in Nevada and Arizonia with 100 degree plus temps, we just set both ACs at 72 and was fine inside.

Living in sunny ca we have had 100 degrees for the last 3 weeks and high humidity I set the kitchen AC thermostat to 78 and the bedroom 1 to 76 and works for us. There is a 2 degrees difference between the 2 to keep the bedroom as cool. If I buy another it will have a dedicated unit just for the upper area. With just the 2 units the way they are setup the living area is cold and the bedroom is a lot warmer just like all our other rvs.

What set points??? LOL AC on these RW's is junk. Sorry!!! if it is anything over 88 degrees outside then forget it. Run as many fans as you can and then shut em down at night so it don't freeze ya. I think this is probably the worse failure on the RW. hmmm well maybe not the worst. But it certainly drives me nuts.

We typically keep our A/Cs set on 72 degrees and during the heat of the day when temps rise over 90 degrees our FL's interior will rise to the mid 70s, a lot depends on which way we are facing and how much direct sun we are getting on the front, rear or side of the coach during the day.

Part timers in the 38gk in Texas,
we used to get it as cold as possible during the day and use blankets at night if we ever got ahead of the cooling curve !
but leave the AC fans on all the time to keep air moving and balance it out...

Without a genny but with vent covers,
I would leave the roof vents open on the way with the fantastic fans running to try to expel SOME of the furnace.

we would get to a park in the afternoon,
sweat like pigs setting up, turn the air to 60, close all blinds,
leave the slides IN trying to cool the least amount possible,
and go out to shop and eat while the ac's tried to do some good...
then when we came back an hour later, it would be down to about 90 and we would finish up the setup

We've been to several areas with temps over 100 degrees with both high & low humidity & if I turned them to 70 degrees you'd be able to hang meat in here. The only place I had a cooling issue was in the toilet area & found that the collar on that vent totally blocked it off, I took the collar off & it cools better now.

well we must be lucky, it's 97 here in Mesa, having a haboob, but it's 72 inside our Redwood.

No there were none in the city here
But I 5 over the grapevine and highway 58 between Bakersfield and Barstow got it bad. I 5 was closed for 2 days and 58 is still closed digging out hundreds of vehicles in 8 ft of mud

we found that keeping the bedroom set at 72 and living room at 74 the AC did quite well even in the 90's this summer.
