Roof Bubbles, Anyone?
Our roof is starting to show numerous bubbles. It does not appear to be leaking, but our unit is not even a year old yet? Does anyone else have this or have seen it? We are camping in Myrtle Beach and have a call in to our dealer, but ..... Ours is a 2014 RL.

I don't know of any roof bubbles yet, but I often hear a mysterious "tearing" sound on warm days on the roof... not sure what it is, but it sure doesn't sound good. Some kind of expansion going on or something. We better go and take a good look.

I was on my roof today as a matter of fact, and noticed air pockets under the rubber membrane mostly near the joints of the plywood under the rubber. It is going in for its one year warranty inspection Monday. Will have them check it then. Will let you know what they say.

We had our roof replaced this summer and it has bubbles in it. Service said it was normal due to expansion and contraction

I think it is normal to see them at the seams. Our last one had them, but this one does not appear to, yet...

I had some on the dining room slide. Lazy days re-cemented it and have not had problems since. Knock on wood! Warranty covered this item.

We noticed bubbles on our roof when the unit was two months old.
No leaks, so we took it buy our dealer.
They said they were normal so I had them note that on the service ticket so there is a record of the issue having been reported.
We have a 2014 36RL.

Warranty inspector will not get on roof, I was told not PART of the Redwood inspection. They do not check brakes, bearings, tires, window sills, any of the internals, plumbing, door seals, awnings,... Check to see if you can buy ALPHASEAL from any Redwood dealer, I've had no luck. If REDWOOD states, Use ALPHASEAL ONLY, but I can't buy it, can I protect my roof?

Seems like the roof is the one critical part of the inspection.

In May/14, I initially had the same experience at my dealership with them saying something to the effect that Redwood was no longer requiring the dealer go through the inspection checklist/process. I pointed out from my "manual" that it states that a roof inspection is "required" yearly to maintain the warranty. They inspected the roof and put additional sealant along some of the seams (at no cost to me) and I had them sign the manual indicating what was done.
With so many models to sell, each with their own warranties, I think the dealers either need to be shown the warranty terms we received at signing/delivery or they need to show us, in writing from Redwood, how the terms have changed.

Agree on the roof inspection, that's where my guy spent most of his time and actually looked pretty closely before signing the manual AND the inside of the the convenience center where the check boxes are.

roof bubbles, anyone?
we have had issues with the roof seam at the front cap. It has been repaired 3 times and we still have an issue. However it is moot as the entire roof is being replaced by a lifetime guaranteed roof (rvroof.com) due to a small tear in the fabric and our insurance is covering the cost, less our deductible. Our coach goes to the roof installation facility in Green Cove Springs, FL 1 Oct. Upon completion we will have a seamless roof guaranteed for life and the guarantee is transferrable to a new owner.

I just purchased a new 38 GK. Being one that is OCD about my roof. I climb up on top of my unit before I left the RV Dealership lot. I noticed instantly bubbles from front to back on the roof. The service man who was following me and explaining everything about our new unit said this was normal. That he would be glad to note it. I sold a 10 year old Carriage Carri-lite. The roof on it laid perfectly flat. I cleaned and treated it once a year and washed it 2 times a year. I never had a problem with it. But I am concerned with the RW roof due to what I seen. I don't buy that this is normal. Just my thoughts. I have only owned my RW for 2 weeks. I am on a short trip right now. When I return I have a long list of sloppy stuff that will have to be addressed by the dealer. We shall see how much I love it then. LOL

Sorry for the long list of "Sloppy Stuff"
How big are the roof bubbles?
Since you noticed them from front to back, I guess there are many of them?
I would be concerned too and bubbles do not sound normal.

A small bubble here or there may not be an issue but I don't think bubbles all over from front to back is normal. For what it's worth, I've been on my roof many times and have not seen any bubbles at all. I think I would drive it by another RV dealer and ask them if it looks normal. You may not be getting the truth from the selling dealer.

I agree, a small bubble may not be an issue, but I also have not seen any bubbles in our roof
