It should be amber... that's your bug light. Turn on both the scare light and your porch light to get the total effect.Edited by: Adamsvr

There's two bulbs in the fixture over the door. One switch turns on the amber lite above the door and the one behind the steps. Another switch turns on the brighter white bulb over the door and on the front of the unit.

The last statement is correct. That leaves no switches for the scare light

There's always the possibility of an incorrect wiring job
Maybe a dead switch or an orphaned light ?!? I'd talk to the dealer

The scare light comes on with the porch light (white porch light). If it doesn't your scare light may be burned out.

We don't have a white light over the door only amber along with the amber step light on one switch and the scare light on a separate switch. Unless our white light over the door is out- a very good possibility as we have had 3 interior halogens go out already in 2 weeks. will have to investigate tommorrow.

Come guys this isn't rocket science. The light over the door does have 2 lights. One amber and one white. Turn on the bottom middle switch and the amber comes on. Turn the bottom right switch on and the amber/white light over the door comes on and the BIG ROUND LIGHT at the front of the rig will come on also. That light is the scare, security, bug attractor or whatever you want to call it.

This endorses my posts and Dave's thought that the scare light is out. Will check tomorrow.

When we first got our unit, the white light over the door and the scare light kept burning out. Dealer discovered that the cover were admitting and holding water for some reason. Drilled small hole in the bottom of both for drainage and no problems since

Mystery continues. The light is not burned out. Dealer can come and deal with it.

Thanks for bringing this up or we would not have known we had the white light over the door . took the cover off and sure enough its burned out. Evidently dealer didn't know about it either ,but they will tommorow.

While you're checking all those outside lights, make sure those "Skilled Amish Craftsmen" put the lens on correctly. Was doing so mods to ours yesterday and found the front Scare Lite half full of water because the lens was on 180 degrees out and the same with one of the side markers, haven't checked the rear clearance lites yet.
