Satellite Hook-up

Got our new Redwood 39MB last week!

Problem is how / where do you hook up the satellite connection?

We had Dish Network on old trailer and the dish is in the same location as previously so I know that is okay.

However inside the utility connection area there are 2 satellite connections and 1 cable. The 2 satellite connections have no additional identification or information.

Behind the TV there are 3 orange cables, only marking on them is 1 is just orange, 1 has one piece of black tape, and the last has two pieces of black tape. Where do I connect the cable box to? I have tried every combination that I can and still receive the error stating complete loss of signal - check wiring.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks - Geff & Sandy

Guess I need a little more info: Are you trying to hookup to a Sat Dish on top of the RW, or is this a post mounted Dish at your site?
As for the connections in the utility bay, one goes to the port in the ceiling in the cabinet just to the left of the bedroom TV, the second one goes to the wall mounted port that's behind the living room TV. At least that's how it is on ours. The Orange cables should be coming from the ports on the Roof of the RW between the two ACs, where a roof mounted dish generally goes. I had to use a meter and buzz out the lines to know where to hook our system up.

If you can, see if the Dealer will send you a Redwood drawing via email or something. Ours did and there are a few circulating around (mine is attached) but they are getting dated and I wouldn't rely on them.

If you do get one, we would all appreciate it if you posted it.

Mine is wired different than the diagram. i buzzed out the lines and indicated on the pdf, what is different. When I asked Redwood, they told me the diagram was"not rig specific".

Hope it helps you,

Ken

On mine the coax from the Dish Tailgater connects to the port on the left at the control panel and the VIP 211z is connected to the orange cable with one piece of black tape. I bought a cheap connectivity tester from Home Depot to find the correct lines. Hope this helps!
