Shipshewana South Campground
Just spent 4 nights at Shipshewana South last week and had a great time. Rained all day once but we still got out and did some shopping. Those of you going to the rally make sure you take extra cash because it seems that the local Amish furniture will pull at your wallet. Actually we purchased 2 new recliners for our 31SL. They are matching but one is made a couple of inches shorter which my wife fell in love with. Her feet actually touch the ground when she sits in it. Very well constructed and the prices are very reasonable. There is also a bulk foods store located close to the campground where you can find tons of deals! Oh, and the flea market down the road has just about everything. If you truly love flea markets you'll need the better part of the day to see everything. I might also mention that most all stores close at 5pm. It's wonderful watching and hearing the clip-clop of the buggies going down the highway. The campground is easy to get in and out of and the trees are not large enough to cause concern for your roof. It is very clean and quiet and there is a community campfire ring that the group could enjoy. There is a covered pavilion with picnic tables that could also be used. Don't think I'll be able to make it this year. We had good intentions but things just aren't working in our favor. Would have liked to meet fellow redwooders and discuss our rigs. Hopefully next year!!
