Well my slide seals are coming apart in my hand. I noticed one hanging like loose tape, and when I grabbed it it just starting coming apart. It seems they are sticking to the slide and when you open them they just pull apart.

I use a slide out spray for seals, but also heard from a Excel RV guy that he has used a sock and baby powder or talc and just sprinkle and pat it around the seals on both sides. He claims it keeps them soft and free from sticking and they are like new after 8 years and that's all he uses. I will try it Thursday when I get to the campground.

I also waxed the inside walls of my slides with Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba Plus car Paste wax and it is so slick it can't stick. This wax also takes the back marks off instantly from the slides where the seals hit.

I wonder if these seals didn't get some chemical on them that caused them to fail, maybe from the paint shop as a prep. These are only a couple of months old, as itwas manufactured in April of this year, but yet some are coming apart in my hand.

Oh well, found some replacement seals at Jacks RV in Rapid City. Huge parts inventory and store, but they are not real pro Redwood even though they sell them. At least that was the impression I got from the service department.
