OK! Now onto the dining slide(curb side). Because it is a flush slide system it will take a different 2-hole head assembly which is Lci # 173594, "Standard Flush Adjustable Head Assembly". I do not have the Redwood/Crossroads number. This assembly can be ordered through Redwood/crossroads, Lci, or rvupgradestore.com. Again, because of shipping costs I found it less expensive to order though rvupgradestore.com. The original 1-hole assembly on my 31SL seems to be ok but I wanted the part to upgrade later if issues arise. I suspect that the original part has not been an issue because that slide is not as heavy as the kitchen slide.

In order to change these out will you have to jack up the slide out? If so, what will you use to hold it up? Looks like a pretty tough job!

Yes, I will probably have to jack up that end of the slide out just enough to take pressure off of the assembly. I used a car jack and an upright 2x4 when I adjusted the slide. I will have to open the slide completely then work from there. I probably won't get to it until end of June but once done I will post the results and difficulty level.

Thumbs up Living Room Slide gears jumping

Hello out there is Redwood land.

We heard some loud banging while putting out the Kitchen slide on our Redwood. After some investigation we found the tube that the slide travels through bent enough to allow the gear rack/track to jump the drive gear teeth.

The slide was out of alignment of course, got that fixed.

I've heard there is a fix/kit to stiffen the slide rack gear tube so it won't easily deform due the upward pressure from the slide rack when moving the slide in or out..

Help if you can appreciate the support.

Thanks,
RC
