Speaker Upgrade

Has anyone upgraded their ceiling mount speakers? How much depth is available to mount an in ceiling speaker? Any recommendations on upgrading the speakers?

I am in the process of looking at the Bose Cinemate 1SR Sound bar system as I agree, the current system is so/so at best. I really wish Redwood would get a Bose System installed either as an option or as standard equipment. With the price we pay for a Redwood, a quality theater system should be standard in my opinion. The nice thing about the sound bar is it can sit on the ledge above the desk pullout and the bass module is wireless and fits nicely behind the recliners in my 36RL. I have not pulled the trigger on purchasing this system yet...still researching and waiting more towards the holidays when things go on discount.
