I think I figured out our sticking main door - I was adjusting wrong. The catch on the main door for the screen door handle needs to press down on the handle to retract the latch on the screen whenever it is mated with the main door, otherwise when you pull on the main door, it can't let go of the the screen door and the screen door is latched.

I've had problems with my door since I got the coach, the screen door seems to latch even when secured to the main door. The catch is secured with two machine screws, the catch itself is designed so that it will slide up/down 1/2 to 3/4 inches within the screw area. The screws were mounted just a little too high so I could not get enough downward pressure on the screen door handle to keep the latch from catching on the strike plate. I trued several different ways to keep the catch all the way down but it kept slipping/moving and the latch would catch.

I finally redrilled the main door just 1/4 inch lower and moved the catch down. Now i have to put more effort into latching the screen door to the main door but it doesn't stick anymore.

We had this same issue on our camper door/screen door. VERY annoying. Luckily, the RW door seems to be ok. Pretty common problem, I think.
