We are not planning on having the side stripes repainted as they were originally, just going to do the tan coating on the side wraps.
Our Redwood is Tan and Maroon so I do not think it will look to bad not repainting the stripes on the side wraps.
If we had the Gray and Black paint schemes it would really stand out.

Thats 2 redwoods - and a whole bunch of other brands that have lost roofs to that silly front seal!

We should all take a note and check that thing regularly. I've seen where the membrane shrinks a little and pulls back from the strip holding it down.

Rob, did you get pictures of the failure on the Tri-glide? and curious if yours was one of those that was banging?

Also, did you have the 18K, 21K, or 23K Tri-glide? It looks like Flex air is only 18K.

I have a 38BR and pulling my unit home the Trail Guide made one hell of a bang starting out from every red light. Is that normal or a precursor to a failure?
I grease it well every Spring and the unit was parked May May to Oct while I lived in it for work 5 hours from home.

Sort of always did that but towing it home 2 weeks ago I almost soiled myself at one light... had to look in the miror to see if my 5er was still there!
Got home and unhooked it... the plate does move back and forth but kind of un-nerving when I got back to reading the posts tonight.

Did not get pictures of the Tri Glide before we welded it back together

Our Tri Glide that broke is an 18K

Our Tri Glide was actually working pretty good, when it broke, it broke all at once. I went from fairly smooth actions to banging so bad I thought I was going to get Whip Lash !!!

Okay... that's what I'm getting!
Better call the dealer and see when I can take it in. Was yours safe to pull? I am 90 minutes down the 401 from my dealer... 6 lane divided highway... everyone doing 70 mph... no pressure.

I eased down the road about 7 miles to a CG and unhitched.
Found 2 for the 3 Shaft Assemblies for the Glide Plate were broken, just one shaft assembly holding the glide plate in place.

Same thing happened to me but when I called Lippert, they said that I was mistaken because there wasn't anything in there to break. I sent a video of it with me shaking it with my hand and they said that it was normal.

I told the new owners of the "Beauty" to have that pin replaced.....I hope they did.

Looks great Robert! I'm glad you were able to get the roof upgrade. Maybe a blessing in disguise!

Robert, what about the top sides where the roof rolls over the edge. What did you do about the color that meets the paint area?

Our Paint Scheme is the Tan and Maroon color, I had them do the sides where the roof meets the paint in a Tan Colored material, it actually looks pretty good.
